Older gamer LF mature guild on EU server
Hello Bri,
Sounds like we could be a home for you. We keep our roster at a medium size, with currently 30 members but willing to grow to 40 in order to give the higher tiers of guild missions a shot. Currently we have around 15 members online during the evening, daytime is a bit more quiet due to the majority having a job, however most of the time you can find someone online. We have members up to an age of 51 and try to recruit 18+, unless someone proofs to fit in. We have people in our guild who have been gaming for many years and those who were new to MMO altogether in GW2 as well. We aim to have fun together and don’t care about experience of new members, as we feel that is something you can obtain by playing where a personality is less likely to change. I would say we are a friendly and relaxed group of players.
We have weekly organised dungeon runs, WvW night and this week we start the guild mission night. Every month we have a guild meeting in order to boost your karma jugs that you collected and with a fun activity like hide and seek, snowball fights and more non serious things. There is no obligation to attend any of the previous mentioned events, you just sign up for an event when you feel like joining.
We have a website with forum and mumble server. We mostly use mumble during guild events and use guildchat mostly outside those.
We play on the Desolation server, so it would mean we would ask you to move, but we can offer a trial period before you make that decision. We would also ask you to represent us all the time once you would have decided that we are a good fit.
If interested or if you have more questions feel free to send me a PM here or contact me in game on Esya.3427 in the evening, but I might be out for a few hours tonight.
Goodluck finding a guild of your liking!
P.S. Would like to add that outside the organised events a lot of dungeon runs are done when people feel like doing them.

Hello Esya,
Thanks for your response, and I will check out your website when I get home.
Cheers!
Hi bri,
Just in case you change your mind about EU servers, Just Us Grown Ups [JUGs] is a guild made for older players.
We are almost 60 strong and everyone is very friendly and helpful. We are on Jade Quarry. Most of are members are in their late 30’s to 50’s, comprised of both men and women—we have a few married couples as well.
This is just something to consider if things don’t work out well in the EU servers.
If you’re interested, you can fill out an application on our site: http://jugs-guild.com or, if you have any questions, feel free to send me a message through these forums.
Good luck in finding a guild!
~ Neksis
P.S. Here is our recruiting post on these forums.

Hi Neksis,
Thanks for your response.
Since I live in Europe (GMT+1) it makes more sense for me to be on a server in this region.
Cheers!
Hi Bri
The guild I’m in might be good for you.
I joined Hakuna Matata a month back and it has been an excellent experience – the people there are friendly, mature and really supportive that will join and help you if you need it.
We are a mature guild (18+) that has been around since beta. It is based in Aurora Glade [EU], which requires a transfer, but if you would like, you can guest here and join us in a trial to determine if we’re right for you. We have all upgrades except the upgrades after bounty mission.
There are a few that venture into pvp or WvW, but we are mainly a PVE guild, so most of us just level our alts (sometimes together), do daily dungeon runs, team up for jumping puzzles, meta events (dragon boss etc), a bit ori/wood/berry gathering or doing dailies together. We do things together regardless of which stage people are at in gw2.
We have about 50 members in our guild with about 10-20 active members online every weekday evening (18:00 – 00:00 GMT); and all day during weekends, but you’ll find a few online any time on any day. We’re also quite active on our forums as well.
We are a tight-knit community that likes to communicate – we talk to each other on first name basis, and just like to get to know each other more, but also respect people who wish to remain what’s private in their lives. We are led by Khonrad, the guild leader, who is on everyday, as well as some senior officers, but again they are laid back, helpful, and friendly that likes to joke now and then
Our events are not compulsory, but it’ll be great if you can join the events we have planned every week on our website, or events we suggest at the time when people are online. What we require from you is that you represent us and to join us in guild/team chat (a simple hello will do )
If you would like to know more you can register at our webite http://gw2-hm.enjin.com/ or you can either contact me in-game (Moriganis.9271), our guild leader (khonrad.2476), or one of our community officers (Transcend.4957, MysticalDragon.1794, oniman.1792)
Good luck in your search!

Well, it doesn’t seem like I can add anything to this page :p
Griffonclaw Council [Claw], small, new and friendly guild looking for more members
The headline caught my eye, since our average age in guild is quite respectable hehe…but, we’re not even medium sized i’m afraid, so not really what you’re looking for..
However, if you end up on Underworld server, feel free to send Splinters of Dawn [SOD] a whisper- perhaps join as hangaround and help out/get helped if main guild activity is on a low.
Anyway, good luck with guild search and have an excelsior day/Mak
Wow, thanks for all the responses here and those who whispered me in game last evening!
Sorry I couldn’t keep up with it all the whispers, some of you were pretty chatty …
It is good know there are a lot good guild choices in this game, but it makes for difficult decisions …
Obviously, my preference is to avoid a 1800 gem transfer fee to a very high pop server, so will give another guild on Gunnar’s Hold a try out for a few days to see how it goes.
I have kept all the contact info, so I know where to go if I this doesn’t work out and I decide transferring servers is a better option.
Cheers!
Thanks for the update Bri, and I hope it works out for you! A 1800 gem transfer fee is something I would personally try to avoid as well.
