Welcome to the new players trying out GW2.

If you are still looking for a server to try out the game on please come to SoS. We have active low level zones so you won’t be going through starter zones by yourself. We have a 24/7 community so no matter what timezone you are in you can find others to group up with to have the best GW2 experience. Several of us will be rolling alts this weekend to help out if you ever get stuck. We have strong PvE base as well as sPvP groups going and WvW is active as well. Sea of Sorrows is the unofficial oceanic server but has a decent NA population. Come to Sea of Sorrows and try all aspects of GW2. We have a community website and teamspeak 3 at gw2sos.com You can find the right guild for your playstyle on SoS.

Any new players are still welcome on Sea of Sorrows server. We have plenty of PvX guilds which are well rounded and try all aspects of GW2.

My guild recently joined SoS, a great community so far. Definitely has its variety!

Are you a new player trying GW2 this weekend. Come to Sea of Sorrows. If you have a character already started on another server all you have to do is delete it. Then you can pick any server to start over. Choose ‘Sea of Sorrows’.

Hmm will have to create a character over on Sea of Sorrows tonight then, got my game last night and am feeling a little overwhelmed by it all having come from WoW!

What is the general consensus on race?

Depends on the class, really. If you’re talking about a class that has elites that don’t necessarily fit every situation (e.g. Elementalist or Guardian), Asura’s a pretty good choice for the golem elites.

Outside of that though, it’s all really about aesthetics.

Try all of the classes and take time to check out youtube for builds. Remember you can make any class fit your genre of play, but style depends on how you play. That is where you need to find which one fits you. Have any questions or need help… you can PM me in game =)
