About Us:

ESP is a guild which was formed in Guild Wars over seven years ago and ever since our inception we have remained steadily active. After racking up numerous awards and accomplishments, including ‘Guild of the Week’ as recognized by Arenanet on Nov 28th, 2006, we now concentrate upon Guild Wars 2 with full force to continue our legacy.

ESP is a social guild — meaning that our primary focus is upon the people who make up our guild and the sense of community that we all share in together. Together we seek to explore every angle and all aspects of the game, always with the aim of having a kitten good time in the process. To help facilitate our high level of activity and encourage interaction within our guild we organize many of our own events and highly encourage people to make use of our guild forums and our ventrilo server. As a member of this guild you are part of a team that bands together, sticks together, and offers everyone an equal voice

In Guild Wars 2 our events range from weekly dungeon groups, sPvP teams, WvW raids, and a weekly RP event, as well as a number of unique yearly events and tournaments which we devise ourselves.

To summarize: we are one of the longest-standing guilds in the game, we are here to stay, we are here to have fun, and we don’t take our success too seriously (because we are also here for your crumpets, pants, vodka, and platypi).

Member Requirements:

We are an 18+ Guild. Aside from that, what we look for when we review prospective new members are people who are friendly, easy-going, and who have a strong willingness to interact with us and take part in guild activities. We would rather have someone who will run around laughing and having a great time win or lose rather than someone who is a professional at the game and plays 40-hours per week (not to say that some of us aren’t game addicts). We believe that our easy-going humor along with just the right amount of organization are the keys to our longevity.

Our player base is international; we have members from every continent (except for Antarctica), so people from everywhere in the world are encouraged to come find a new home with us —a home where you can find great people to play with no matter what time zone you live in.

If you are interested in joining ESP then you are encouraged to review our charter on our web site at http://www.espguild.com and then submit a post telling us a little bit about yourself and the best way for us to contact you (note that you will need to register before being able to view all content). You are also welcome to contact us directly in game (look for Karuna or Danni in Guild Wars 2) and we will be happy to answer whatever questions you may have.

Please understand that we are careful about who we allow into the guild and we will likely want to get to know you a little bit before actually issuing an invite — both for your benefit, to help ensure that our guild is truly fit for your needs, and also for ours to make sure that all of the new members that we bring mingle well with our current group.

The months ahead are going to be busy for ESP. We have our upcoming Valentine’s Day ESP-Harmony event. Then we will get to work on Platypusaplaooza III — one of our yearly celebrations. All the while we continue to focus on working with new players, playing high end dungeon content and being a force to reckon with in WvW.

Now that all the transfer craziness has ended it is time to settle in to home and enjoy WvW the way that it was meant to be played.

ESP is currently still open to new applicants. Feel free to check us out and come along on one of the many fun events that we run.

Currently we are looking for a commander that is reasonably competent and can help cover our ‘late’ time slots — roughly 10pm – 5am eastern time — especially during reset nights.

We do not consider ourselves a hardcore WvW guild but we do play to be competitive and take an active part in the strategies for our server.

Obviously, you must either be on Tarnished Coast or else willing to transfer to TC.

Recruitment is still open for ESP. We are a fun, casual guild that is also well-organized and involved in a wide variety of events.

The guild will officially turn 8-years old this June and we continue to grow and find innovative ways to interact as a community.

Currently we have Guild Bounties unlocked and are in the process of researching Guild Treks.

After that we will be ready to start research for rushes.

Do you do all dungeons, all paths, even story and help other map hard maps such as orr?

I do not want to hear any people in your guild say, “Oh I won’t help you because its easy” or “Its solo-able” or L2P noob!" and “that dungeon path sucks!” “it is not fast or makes money or no loots.”

I play to 100% it all. I must have everything done at least once and all achievement bars filled. Legendary is one of my goals as well to have that chest filled on my character select. Yet I will never buy my legendary.

You will not find any sort of elitist attitudes within [ESP] — it just doesn’t jive well with us. There is no guarantee that you will always find a guild group for the exact thing that you want to do at the moment (“Hey, lets go do a drunken pantsless Arah run in reverse!” . . . ok, bad example maybe. We would be all over that party to be honest.)

But, we have a nice mix of seasoned players (at least as seasoned as they come thus far in this game) as well as newcomers and so long as people are fun and interested in participating with the guild when they can, then we happily accept people of all various interests and do our best within reason to help each other out.

It is preferable for people to post an application over on our forums or get in touch directly with a guild officer As I do not check these forums every day, and we do not auto-invite anyone that we have not first spoken to in game.

On another note. It is almost time again for our big Friday WvW reset event, we have Guild Rushes in our build queue, and this Saturday is our yearly Platypusapalooza festival.

Our first Guild Rush was a blast, thanks to all who attended!

An update on our current recruitment needs:

The Everlasting Sacred Path is a clan that is now going on 8 years old. We have a mature member base from all around the world (currently at 270 members) and we cater to those who prefer a casual and yet competitive gaming environment. Rather than focus on one particular aspect of the game we prefer to vary our events and experience all that GW2 has to offer.

While anyone is welcome to apply, we have a few particular needs that we would like to address:

• Players outside of NA peak hours — We currently have a strong NA presence within the guild and a moderate presence during European and Oceanic/Asian hours. We would like to boost our international presence in order to have more people to help coordinate guild events during these times. We love the diversity of our guild and wish to see it grow even further.

• Players with a strong interest in WvW — I would not classify us as a ‘hardcore WvW guild’. However, we do have guild WvW events three nights a week and we will spontaneously form teams at other times based upon player interest. We run well-organized groups and enjoy trying out various tactics and could always use more people who are interested in running along with us.

What we offer:

• Officers based in NA, Europe, Australia, and the Middle East
• Active and professional guild forums
• 75-slot ventrilo server
• Around the clock coverage where there is always someone to game with
• A sense of humor coupled with a desire to play well
• Guild bounties, treks, and rushes unlocked. Getting ready to research guild challenges.

Lots of exciting things ahead for the Everlasting Sacred Path this year. We will be celebrating our 8th year anniversary in June with a big community party. There is also another ‘Guild Wars Family Feud’ in the works.

Sounds like ESP is doing great, nice to hear! Hope things are well.

Another busy Thursday night ahead for us with WvW Training, our tPvP event, and then a repeat of guild bounties/rushes for anyone who missed out on the earlier runs.

Talk to any of our members if you would like more info and/or want to join in with us on some of our activities.

We are still open to accepting new member from all over, with a special focus on people who have playtimes outside of the NA region to help round out our roster.

Keg Brawl Bonanza was a lot of fun last night. Today we have ‘Wuv Wuv Wonday’ (WvW event) and we have a new Witch Hunt slated for this coming Saturday.

What we are currently looking for:

Members with a strong interest in WvW. We do not WvW every day, but when we have guild Wuv Wuv events, we expect people to try their best to be there.

Members from outside the US, or who have play times outside of normal NA primetime. We are an international guild looking to further expand our non-NA presence. We love the diversity of our guild and seek to embrace even more quality players from all around the world.

We would absolutely love to have another late-night commander that could help cover anywhere from 10pm – 6am server time.

ESP is a large-ish guild that has never lost that close family atmosphere. We value personality over skill, though we admire the later to some extent. We continue to look for more WvW-interested players from all over the world as well as anyone who fits in well with our mixture of easy-going fun and well-organized events.

We are still looking for some more people to join our family. Our current preferences go to people with some degree of WvW experience or who are willing to participate and learn as well as people who play outside of NA peak hours.

The 8th year birthday of ESP is fast approaching. We have some fun events planned for the celebration and will be making an official announcement here in the near future.
