Guild Wars 2

Greetings,

The Guardians is a mature multi-game gaming community that was originally formed for Star Wars Galaxies. We currently have four divisions, and the Guild Wars 2 division on Isle of Janthir is recruiting!

We currently boast more than 200 members with a variety of playtime and activity levels. We have every guild upgrade (both PvE and PvP) purchased, and run buffs to magic find and xp for our members the large majority of the time.

We are a true PvX guild and run 4-5 Guild Events every week. These events range from scheduled dungeon night, to WvWvW groups, to WvWvW seminars for new players, to jumping puzzles, to RP events, to alt groups.

The Guild Wars 2 division uses mumble primarily, but we have ventrilo servers available as well. We are also active in the alliance at www.isleofjanthir.net. We have 0 guild taxes, and fund all our events through voluntarily contributions. We are further involved in RL charity and exercise initiatives-we raised over $2000 for Children’s Hospitals in October.

The Guardians is a truly great guild. I joined in just June this year and I’ve never felt so welcomed in my 10 years of playing MMOs. It’s truly like a family. You can post on the forums and talk to friends who play in other games.

We are incredibly active in our community and truly lead the way!

Really a great guild. As nautix said, we run multiple events throughout the week for every kind of player. Want to get your explorable dungeon fix each week? We offer that. Want to get your PvP fix each week? We offer that as well.

Your guilds a hard nut to crack. The way your website is laid out I spent like a good 30 minutes to try and find someone in game to talk to to learn more. Anybody, even a regular member- and failed. I’m a huge fan of hanging out with people before I join a guild~ is there any way for me to do this?

I really enjoy being a member of the Guardians. Regardless if I am in WvWvW, sPvP, or PvE I always know I will be having a great time if I am running with my fellow Guardians. We just had an in game event last week to congratulate several members for their hard work and going above and beyond for our members and allies. We are still recruiting, activities took a break during the holiday but we are returning back with:

- Random event Mondays
- WvW Wednsdays
- Dungeon Night Thursday
- Every other night is member activity encouraged, previous stated events are not mandatory either!

Recruiting Campaign Speech:

I just joined The Guardians on Christmas and I’ve been having a blast so far. Most members are pretty active on the Forums and Mumble. GW2 is so much more fun for me when there’s a good group of people to talk with while playing, but i think that’s true for just about any MMO. I’ve been a part of other guilds where you just really want to smack certain people in chat, and I haven’t met anyone like that here. Whenever I’ve needed help finishing a quest line, or an event/dungeon, or even just how to get to that blasted vista there’s usually someone willing to drop what they’re doing to help. In my eyes we aren’t trying to be the best collection of single players out there, we’re trying to be the best community out there. We drive, push, and challenge each other to get better. Because in helping each other out, we’re bettering ourselves too.

Now that my campaign speech is over, seriously, come give us a look. We’ve got a nice balance of playing for fun and playing competitively that I haven’t been able to find in other guilds. Plus every friday is the ‘Brain Game Riddle Edition’ on the forums, so if anyone can help me out with this it’d be appreciated:

I joined TG about a month ago, and I’m glad I did. There are a ton of things to do on various nights of the week. Multiple dungeon nights, wvw nights, random Mondays, and some special events that don’t happen weekly (fashion shows, ceremonies, etc.). While I would love to participate in all of these events, I don’t have the time. TG is full of all different kinds of players with expertise in many different areas. Casual, hardcore, and everyone in between!

You may notice that many guilds are abandoning this great land of ours. The Guardians are staying. We will endure the battle and come out victorious. The Guardians will fight for these lands and we want you to join us..

WHO WILL JOIN US?

Maguuma is making a mad push to jump a few tiers so they are laying down the beating hard. TG has gotten better at hit and run tactics thanks to them. I really have to say, everything that has happened to us has made us better. We for sure can hold our own when the going gets rough. These tough times are the hammer strikes that forge TG into the lean mean weapon of war. I have seen TG pull off stuff no one else could. An epic battle at Dreaming Bay comes to mind.

Out numbered 4 to 1. Two servers beating on our outer gates… they have breached and begin building siege on the bridge and beach. TG falls back, no one is left behind. We regroup. The call is made. We know its suicide. What other option do we have? We grab all of our forces and make for the water.

The water drowned out the siege. Peaceful. We come up for air, a great battle, commander gives the order. We wipe 13-18 people and 3 cata from the North beach. “Push the bridge” sounds over mumble. We have gone this far, why not? We push the server from the north into the server from the south. Pure chaos. Losing many men. “Focus down that treb” is the call. Gone. “Get the ballista” Done. A mad rush of laughter as we realize we, The Guardians just turned the tide of a battle gone all wrong. A proud shout goes up “GUARDIANS LEAD THE WAY”.

While we may be getting beat to hell, and servers jumping ship when the going gets tough. But TG has been here since the beginning. TG will always be here. And every time a server beats us into the ground we get faster, smarter, stronger.

We had 20 out on Wednesday night for WvW and around 25 last night for our dungeon run night.
