Thinking About Finding a New Home

This is a feeling out process. I have not made up my mind yet.

I have recently merged my guild into another guild that we worked with closely. This was due to numbers, and lack of recruitment. Yes this could be called my fault, but I do believe this was a good move for my members. I am NOT a recruiter, my specialty is leading small team tactics, siege placement and usage. I got thrust into GL position by my co-leaders leaving the game. I tried my best to make us the best we could be, but nobody would take up the recruitment role. I love each and every member of my original guild, and think the merge was the best option.

The only problem with this merger is my role. This is gonna sound very odd, but if read it fully I hope you understand. I want to leave the new guild because I respect them a lot. This is in the best interest of the stability of the guild leadership. I have a very large reputation on my server. It would not be right for me to take the lead of the WvW efforts over the current leadership. I can already feel the pressure to take reigns, but refuse to do this out of respect for my new guild. It is not my intent to destabilize this new home for my former guild’s members.

So, now with your understanding of why I’m considering this move; I’ll give you a bit about myself.

I’m a WvW player! I hold very little interest in PvE, or sPvP. That’s not say I don’t do any PvE, gotta pay for WvW somehow…lol. I have been playing GW2 since the first beta, actually should say, I been playing WvW since the first beta. Many like to call me an elitist, but if you ever run with me it becomes apparent that I am far from it. I AM however very focused, and determined. I am a commander on the field, BUT I hold no commander badge. I have no use for them. I find they attract too much attention at all the wrong times and places.

I’d like to go into the non “Elitist” thing deeper. I have done more with a 5 man group then a lot of 20+ man zergs. I have ninja’ed everything including SMC (I’m not on a bottom tier server either). I don’t require certain builds or classes, or even lvl to run WvW. I take and utilize what I got and make the best of every opportunity available. The one thing I do require is unquestionable following. Many times, I will lead to our death, but it serves its purpose. Tactics and maneuverability are my specialty.

Another area I truly shine at is Siege placement and usage. This is kinda where my OCD kicks in. WvW is siege warfare, not a PvP game. Siege plays such an important role, that its placement can mean victory or death. A siege placed in the wrong spot is just a waste of supply, prints, and time. I may not hold the title because of the unachievable achievement, but have been called on 2 servers a siege master. I don’t mind folks that are unsure and make mistakes placing, but it drives me insane when I see folks that think they know, and refuse to learn better tactics. I’m also very proactive about counter siege. Meaning; I don’t scream in chat “we are being trebbed” for 20 mins not doing anything…frankly, I usually don’t say anything other then to my team as we head out to counter.

So what am I looking for?

1) I’m looking for a guild that is in need of a WvW commander. Not just a badge, but a true commander.
2) I’m looking for a server from NA T4 and lower. I have no interest in top tiers.
3) I’m looking for a guild that has players from 7pm ‘ish to midnight ’ish EST
4) I need, and most guilds have, but still must be said; A reliable voip communication in place.
5) I’m looking for a team/server that is looking to learn some top quality tactics.

I won’t be doing a knee jerk guild/server hop. I would like to meet, chat, and even guest to get to know each other.

I’m sure I could be able to get references to my abilities, but this will require some subtle tact. I don’t wanna send my server/guild crazy. I’ll make sure my current guild will be one of the contacts. Although, I may attract a lot of attention with this post…but we’ll see.

Contact me in game or here.

Well your welcome to try us.
I am leaving info on guild
We hope you will come join the Wolf Pack
Thank you for your interest by opening this page and reading it.

WOLF was created in 2005

We are very proud that even with our up and downs, great times and sad times, that we have endeavored to continue to thrive and continue to exist.
We invite you to visit our guild and talk with us either in game or on vent. What would it hurt? We are a mature group of people that enjoy playing MMOs and other games. We are all working class people and/or university students and/or have families to take care of. We are mainly North American times zones from one end to the other, but have a few Canadains, Euros from England, Finland and other areas that came with us from Guild Wars(so International guild). We log on to have fun and relax, so I am guessing you would consider us a casual guild. We have people may do one or a mixture of all; Pve, Pvp, dungeons, and Wvw. We will help and guide new players to the game and old players with what we can. We dont ask for special equipment for pvp, pve, and dungeons or build. We work with what you can bring. We don’t want to make the game a job, because that not what games are for. We are slowly rebuilding the guild at this time. We are looking for people, willing to help us grow. We are friendly and will do what we can or when we can for others in the guild. We enjoy new people, thoughts and ideas. Each new person brings a special gift or unique quality to add to the guild. We truly hope that you will join us and give us a try.

We do have vent and a forum; Our forum is: http://wolfdemontribe.enjin.com/
We are now at 112 members and officers in the guild and growing more and more each day. We are upgrading to Level 5 upgrades.

We are also looking for new officers in the guild, but we will have to talk. If you like to play other on-line games, we have guildies that may may be playing the games your playing also. Such as (League of legends, Steam games, World of Warcraft, Aion, Tera, Starcraft, Diablo 2, 3) and much more. So I figure we can be considered a gaming (community, guild, or group).

This has been mentioned a few times in convos, and I’d like to make it clear.

I not looking for only a WvW guild. What I am looking for is a guild that is interested in utilizing my skills and abilities. A PvE guild is fine, if they have intrest in learning how to WvW. A WvW guild is fine too, if they are willing to learn from the new guy.

And, my decision will not be made till next week. By reset time on Friday Apr. 5th

My guild’s all small and new. I doubt you’d wanna join us. But would you be interested in WvWing with Borlis Pass? I like to join forces with the WvWing guilds of our home and see how they all play.

I get in their voice chat and into the parties and help them. Maybe you’d like to join us? It’s not just me anymore. I got another WvWer. He always ran solo, too.

Maybe you could find a home with us? I haven’t gotten to play with them all, but I’m working on it.

Might be something someone on another server might wanna do, too, if you got a preferred one to try. Of course, if you just like small groups, EDGE might be worth meeting.

Feel free to message me if you wanna know more or just visit our community to talk to them at http://borlis.og.

Not to interested in building another guild. I’ve had very hard feelings about where I am right now, and how I got here. I really have no choice out of respect to my server but to transfer off. I will be leaving behind a lot of relations because of this. I have also had several GL’s sad but understanding why this is the way it has to go, hence the references.

CD will live in my heart forever, but its time to find a new home.

Tarnished Coast has a couple of former CD guilds (Cynical and KH) as well as some extremely talented guild that have called TC home for a long time (PiNK, TC, DIS, CERN, just to name few.) And it is a great environment within which to play — free of egos and full of cooperation.

[ESP] isn’t really a hardcore WvW guild but we do organize for wuv at least three nights a week and could benefit from another experienced commander. Feel free to look me up or check us out at http://www.espguild.com for more info.

I’m sorry to hear you had problems, but I wasn’t asking for help building my guild. Was asking if you wanted to look at the guilds of Borlis Pass.

You don’t gotta. But it might be fun.

Karuna;
Thank you for your interest, but I’m quite adamant about lower tiers. I do have a lot of respect for TC and love to community you have there. It should be the envoy of every other server. KH and my guild did not see eye to eye when they were on CD, so we tended to avoid each other.

PAGamer;
I’m not opposed to BP, but to date have not heard from any guilds there, with the exception of yours. Also thought it was a good opportunity to state something, I been saying in a lot of private messages aloud for everyone to hear.

This will be my last bump. I promise.

I plan on making my decision before next reset, and it takes time to research guilds and servers. I am not making this choice quickly. I’m putting a lot of time and effort to make sure my choice is the right choice.

I thank all those who have contacted me, and encourage others to do so as well. I have gotten back to every inquiry, large or small, even those that did not read my post. But those drive me nuts.
