Who we are:
Originally, the guild was created in Guild Wars 1. It was founded by Dear Sickness and had become the 5th ranked faction PvP alliance at its peak. This War Is [Ours] was re-founded in Guild Wars 2 roughly 2 months ago with the intentions of creating a dedicated PvP community and bringing back OUR former name. The guild is CURRENTLY composed of hardcore gamers generally between sPvP ranks of 20-40, including many who have NOT been playing the game since BWE, but rather came post launch and later. I make this clarification now because we are not masters of the game as of yet. Part of who we are is the distinction of imperfection, learning and expanding.
Who we want:
We seek only those who share this similar hardcore-PvP mind set and want to become a part of the growing and dedicated force that will leave a mark on GW2 history. Specifically, we are looking for highly capable, dedicated PvP players with a commitment to continually improve. We want (1) current top-end players in GW2 PvP, and (2) high potential players who may have been at the top in other MMOs, even if you still have a bit to go in GW2. Regardless of whether your sPvP rank is higher or lower than our average, it’s our belief that sPvP rank means very little – we consistently beat teams that are higher level than us. We want players with an extra competitive edge and who are willing to grow and develop with us such that we will all be stronger from it.
OUR community:
->We are mainly college age students and older
->We do take the game seriously, but we do NOT no-life
->We are active in Team Speak 3
->We take pride in quality over quantity, and if you’re not right for us, we won’t have you
->We do enjoy other elements of the game, but we share most of our time in the mists
->We allow profanity, and the guild is catered to a mature audience
Requirements:
->We want people who actively play the game (15+ hours a week)
->You must represent the guild 90%+ of the time
->You will only benefit from the guild if you spend most of your time in spvp
->You must have Team Speak 3 (you don’t need a mic)
->You must be willing to accept the order of our guild, and follow officer instruction
->If you apply for an official Tpvp team, you must be willing to practice at the set times
->You should be striving to be the best you can, and share your ideas and theories with the rest of the guild to better OUR community
We have 5 man TPVP teams!:
We do offer “official” tpvp teams of 5 to our guild. We practice multiple times a week and do free/paid tournaments. In order to join you will be required to try out AFTER becoming a member. Based on your test scores you will be placed into the appropriate team.

WvW:
We will be introducing structured squads in WvW on DEVONA’S REST once the guild hits 100+ members.
PvE:
This is not the guilds focus. We do not shun Pve’rs, but do not expect guild pve events.
