Guild Philosophy
For some, the overall enjoyment of the online gaming experience is amplified by the company they keep, to the point where it trumps the game’s content itself. Unlimited is dedicated to building a community around the quality of players we invite, rather than the need to be the most or best “anything”. That’s not to say that our practices do not include a competitive edge, on the contrary, Unlimited is called home by members with seasoned gaming backgrounds in organized PvP and PvE. However, skill can be taught, personality is harder to mold. Unlimited members are players who seek to explore the extent of their ability and perform beyond them. Steady progression and skill improvement are important, parallel to community relations. A well-defined direction and an organized leadership that utilizes community feedback pushes Unlimited forward. Unlimited is motivated by a natural drive that excels its members to top tiered achievement, rather than the “need” most hardcore guilds have. Before the game’s release, we claimed to see ourselves in the top tiered PvP ranks of Guild Wars 2. We are there.

Unlimited members are players who seek to explore the extent of their ability and perform beyond them. Steady progression and skill improvement are important, parallel to community relations. Being skillful at something should not be a license to put others down, rather to be a leader among peers to help steer them toward the same achievement you have reached.

Coming from the now former Titan Alliance I knew what to expect out of Unlimited. My experience with them prior to my joining the guild was simply marvelous. I have been in tight knit guilds before, but never I have I experienced one on the level of Unlimited. Generally when you try to mix highly competitive PvP guild with a tight knit “family” style group it simply ends in disaster, but Unlimited defies this status quo.

Unlimited is my new home and for the first time in many years of gaming I can easily say that I can foresee myself hanging with this crew for a long time. If you are looking for a highly active World v World guild that understands the tactical overview of the game and how to play it without running in a giant zerg then look no farther than Unlimited. Be warned though that it’s not a free ride, the guild expects big things from each of its members, but the return far exceeds any price.

There is something to be said about a guild with an in depth application process. I know for me it was a little nerve wracking going in especially since I had friends already accepted to the guild. However, after being accepted myself that feeling reverses into a reassuring nature since you know that only a certain caliber of player and maturity is going to get through the process.

Prior to joining ULTD my interest in WvW and GW2 was waning, and after two weeks of playing with them I find myself excited to get home and log on again. It wasn’t just our performance in WvW, which has been quite impressive as well, but also the general demeanor from everyone. Vast majority of our communication is over Teamspeak and everyone has a pretty good idea of when you can be silly and social while also being capable of locking it up to focus on what is currently at hand. I’ve been apart of al ot of smaller communities guilds over the years, but this is the first time since vanilla WoW or SWG that I can see myself becoming a part of another lasting community.

Unlimited has been on Fort Aspenwood for nearly half a month and we are pleased with our decision to break off onto a quieter server. Not only have we been able to play together the way we should have been able to all along, but because of this, our members had their interest in the game be reignited more than the initial release. Dominating the competition server-wide is great, but at the cost of high server pop and long queues, we rarely had the ability to play together at full-form. We now have the opportunity to do so, daily.

I joined this awesome guild back in July, before the game was released, and have I never experienced such a tight group before. Being part of Unlimited is more than just a number; you are key to our success in the battlefield and this is why we only recruit the best.

If you’re looking for a group of payers whose goal is defying the odds in WvW and coming out on top —all while having fun-- then I don’t think you have to search any longer.

Unlimited is an amazing guild that’s full of highly skilled players. We excel at destroying zergs and stomping our enemies wherever we go. If you want to WvWvW with great people I urge you to check us out, watch our videos, or better yet come fight with us.

I joined unlimited because I was looking for a serious WvW guild. Every one of our members is serious about being the best in WvW. Not taking enemies by shear numbers, but by out thinking, out maneuvering, our enemies. We use tactics in battle, and we have great communication and teamwork. I have been playing MMOs for over 15 years and I have never had so much fun as I have had here with Unlimited.

I highly suggest if you are even thinking about looking for a guild:
1) Visit our website and browse the forums, read about us.
2) Join us in teamspeak.
3) Join us on the battlefield
4) If we are the right guild for you, fill out an app.

Many guilds out there advertise themselves as WvW oriented, and I have joined a few of them in my time of searching. In the end, their commitment to having an actual effect on the battlefield was limited to simply following the horde, or perhaps a blue dot if we were lucky. While we were on communications, in retrospect, it didn’t even matter, for there was no true initiative in the command level of the guilds. I felt stagnant in my gameplay, and was losing interest in logging on.

Thankfully, I didn’t give up on my search, and found ULTD through the recommendation of a friend. ULTD brought my WvW experience to another level. I experienced my first portal bomb that mattered (as in, had a direct effect on the outcome of a fight) in this guild, very shortly after joining. I saw the effect that maneuver warfare can have when fighting outnumbered, and was literally in awe until such feats were understood to be the norm. More importantly, the people in this guild know how to have fun while remaining serious when it matters.

If you feel how I did in the past, perhaps you should check us out. I also deploy roast pig on the regular, just sayin’.

I’ve been having great nights in WvW since release with Unlimited. Casual groups on off hours and serious PvP nightly throughout the week. If you are looking for a good group of people who know how to play and have fun while doing it, look no further.

As a player of over 15 years mmo experience, I’d like to let everyone know a bit about the atmosphere within this guild; Because it is like no other I have experienced in a long long time. Unlimited is one of those guilds where you find yourself itching to get off work so you can log on to play. Mainly because we have so much fun. And while we do it, we progress as a guild. Our players and thus our guild grow in skill everyday. Unlimited for me was an easy choice. With a lengthy app process ( compared to most) it gave me time to figure out what kind of people they are. Its rare to find a guild with every player in it being very skilled , but they still say hello, how ya doin, goodnight and all the in betweens. Bottom line we care about each other. When I started looking for a guild, I wasn’t really sure what to expect. I had enjoyed WvWvW up until that point, though most of what I could find would be general pub zergs or small skirmishes. Sometimes a few people would plop siege, and fights were fun. I figured I’d see if I could join a guild to run around with familiar faces and cause some trouble.

I never would have guessed the type of trouble a group could cause in WvWvW before I found Unlimited.

From the onset, group movements were coordinated, precise, and goal-driven. We weren’t just running around the map, we were running to specific places for specific reasons. My efficiency bone immediately started rattling with glee. Then, we started killing people. Lots of people. Hell, it fell like all the people. It didn’t matter how many there were, it seemed like we were going to engage anyway. I could finally dive into a group and know that there was a gang of efficient slayers behind me.

Scores of people would die. More would flee. Unlimited just went back to business as usual, as though nothing special had happened.

The aggressive maneuvers this guild performs fit nicely with my playstyle, and they still know how to hold ground when necessary. Sometimes I’m joining them in an attempt to ninja an enemy’s keep that the other enemy has been sieging. Other times I’ve spent 30-60 minutes running supply to a wall on a tower across the map, but even then, I was the guild’s eyes. I was the one calling out disturbances, and leading others in an important defense.

There’s always a strategy, there’s always action, and you’re surrounded by folks who are dedicated to excellence and victory. What’s not to like?

Unlimited is a great group of gamer’s and friends. The main focus is WVW if you want organized and competitive teammates for WVW put in an application.

I have been a part of unlimited since shortly after BWE #3. I have never had such a great time playing any video game with any group. If your a hardcore gamer and pvper, and want to play with a great group of people, check us out and apply. All the info you need is in the first post. If you love killing people in WvW as much as we do, check us out. When we get groups underway it’s not uncommon to see 400-500 kills during primetime. I’ve even managed 1000 kills in one day, as a guardian, and its all due to this awesome group of people. While every day is different, I live to see more days like those.

I found Unlimited while looking for an organized and easy going WvW focused guild. I haven’t enjoyed WvW as much ever since I joined and found a welcoming new home. Making big groups zergs think twice before approaching our small group is impressive. Unlimited has defied all odds with organized tactics and leaving masses of bodies behind and I couldn’t be happier to be ULTD.

I joined Unlimited to be apart of an elite WvW focused guild that excelled in strategic open field combat and lightening siege operations. And it’s exactly what I’ve gotten. Thousands of kills, hundreds of objectives taken, guild recognition amongst both friend and foe. This is what WvW is supposed to be!

Everyone has their place in Unlimited. There is no class or playstyle that goes unused. You follow orders not because you have to, but because you want to. Those orders and battle plans lead to success and utter devastation for our enemies. Join us, and you’ll see that your potential to become a force within WvW is Unlimited!

It’s so much fun being a part of a team that can be outnumbered by 2 or 3 times our numbers and still come out victorious. That’s what ULTD is all about.

I joined Unlimited about a month and a half ago.
I’d tried the zerg guilds, I tried the “small tight-nit” guilds but nothing was cutting it for me.
Just when I was about to give up hope, a group of 10 or so people ran by me.

Why do I remember this moment?

Because it was then, that WvWvW became more fun to me. Not just because we were beating zergs that outnumbered us by at least 2:1. It was because we were following exact and precise directions and moving as one unit.

This almost never happens in most MMO’s. But it definitely happens when you run with <ULTD>

I have been with Unlimited since pre-release, and I have been so lucky to be apart of such a wonderful group of gamers. The guild is different from those hordes found in larger guilds; where there is little community and brotherhood than just the zerg mentality. We are different, we are a family of gamers. We are a group of individuals spanning many different MMOs. With those many varying experiences in different games, we have honed our skills in not only combat and tactics, but also economics and PvE strategies. We are a WvW-centered guild, but we have our hands in many other aspects of the game. Come meet and talk to us at our website, or maybe battle with us in WvW before you decide to apply. It is best to know what we expect of you, and what we expect of ourselves. Or to see how much these guys slide in sexual innuendos to each other… There are some of us who are sane, we love each other anyways.

I apped to Unlimited about 1 month ago, after watching this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_pCuAhZ3Zc0 and ever since then I have experienced WvW on a whole new level.

How ULTD operates as a guild in WvW is downright insane. The amount of precision, and coordination that was happening with ULTD my first night in the BL with them as a trial member was frightening. They left a sea of death and destruction whenever they would clash with an enemy force, typically outnumbering them. Flanking, portal chaining, these guys did it all. Every single move they made on the battlefield was thought out, and with purpose. I couldn’t help but chuckle and laugh as they were running around just decimating the opposition. I knew I had found a new home.

What is also nice, is the fact that I have never met a more fun group of people to game with. Teamspeak is full of laughs, jokes, and all around good times. There is a real sense of friendship, brotherhood, and comradery. Many of the members know each other on a first name basis. They are extremely humble as well, they don’t condone any kind of forum trolling, or trash talking.

ULTD has been a breath of fresh air in MMO Guilds I have been in through the times. Zero form of drama, negativity, everybody has a sense of belonging. The leadership is solid, and makes excellent decisions.

I look forward to spending a lot of time with ULTD for the rest of my gaming career.

Unlimited is a guild, no an organization, no a brotherhood, NO! there is no word in the language of man that rightfully depicts what Unlimited is. Unlimited is made up of some of the most unique, skilled, energetic, merciless, musically coordinated individuals that A-net has ever had to put up with. I am Andaro Nightshade! known amongst the server of Fort Apenwood as; Andaro Nightshade. The enemy has never predicted my movements because not even I know what I’m going to do next!

If you’re looking for a dedicated WvW guild with a skill set that is only rivaled by my own personal ego (which is quite large) then you have reached the destination on your long adventure for the search of a good guild, and what a perilous adventure that has been my brothers and sisters. But all mediocre comedy aside ULTD is a very skilled and competent guild with a laid back and likeable community that knows how to get the job done all day every day. I have been with ULTD since the start, and I have never had so much fun in a guild before.

After trying out a few guilds looking for a WvW-focused community I had come to the conclusion that GW2 might not be the game for me. I had been a member of large WvW guilds and small community-oriented guilds but none of them seemed to hold my attention and my enjoyment of the game was slowly fading. I loved the idea of applied tactics and the use of small fire teams to cause havok on a map but getting people to break away from the zerg seemed impossible.

I was close to giving up on the game as a whole when I came across a recruitment post for Unlimited. I was instantly drawn in by the first line of the charter and the mission statement. This is what I was looking for in a guild. I signed up on their website and sent in an application the day after. Not long afterwards I was greeted via PM with a “Haaaaaaaaay” (by some guy whos avatar strangely resembles Nick Cage) and told to hop on their Teamspeak server for an interview.

The interview was pretty standard. They asked questions to test the overall knowledge and understanding of my profession, to determine my playstyle and maturity level, and to determine my preference between chocolate and vanilla ice cream (pretty sure they had a wager on that one). After my interview I was taken in as an Initiate and invited to join them in WvW.

My first experience was the guild was no less than stellar. I had never seen a team like this. We spent most of our time on the map as a small force whos sole objective was to find much larger forces and utterly destroy them. I saw for the first time since I started playing a team have a tower wall go down just to completely obliterate the enemy team as they rushed inside. This video is from my first night as an Initiate.

Since then I have become a Member and witness to many other amazing feats over the past few months. From silently taking keeps to outright farming of the massive zergs of the much larger servers we face the members of Unlimited never cease to amaze me in their skill and attention to detail. The leadership and organization is top notch, the player base is full of highly skilled and mature players, and the overall mindset of the guild is one of incredibly high energy and morale with an unfailing devotion to PvP. For me, Unlimited is what makes Guild Wars great.
