Afternoon all, was hoping we could get a time for Act 2 today / tomorrow (European player here)
Would like to know if worth staying up late for it this evening

I recommend switching your in game clock to “server” time via the options. Act 1 started around 8:30pm server time (PST). I’m assuming it will begin anywhere from 6:00pm-9:00pm server time.

I also believe it will begin when the event progress bar fills up in Lion’s Arch.

Didn’t happen on the 22nd until 10:30ish pm CST, so I’m not going to hold my breath that it’ll be out earlier than that today/tomorrow. Not complaining by the way, just offering my opinion!

I think the progress bar is for Act 3, while the Act 1 → Act 2 transition won’t have an ‘event’ like transition. Simply a patch or something that unlocks content similar to when Act 1 first began.

So Act 1, beginning. Act 2, fix ot trillion bugs of act 1. Act 3, final content, act 4, a sparkle?

I think Act 1 was late afternoon or evening US time at day mentioned on the page and in EU it was later and because of different times it could have been 1:00 am or 2:00 am of the next day(same time the daily achievements reset). Maybe it is the same for Act 2 and Act 4 since there is nothing different mentioned. And only Act 3 a specific time which is different.

Edit: And I think there might be 1 or 2 more things available for the achievements. Maybe the “halloween events”(since the small events near doors where groups of mobs spawned or veterans did not count for this) and one of the other achievements maybe a quest following the Scavenger Hunt. Should be fast to complete.

Act 3 might be the party(at the start for “attend the party”). Clocktower maybe last at Act 4?

They aren’t going to make the same mistake, are they? O_O

Act 1 started at like 11pm Eastern time in America. Thats 8pm Pacific. If its like that again then Im not gonna waste my time waiting around and just play tomorrow since everything else stops in GW for these events.

ANet really must Have Times for EU and US, people got lost and now it’s always in the map chats asking when when when when, and then it’s not 26th for EU, it’s 27th.

Now that the GW2 twitter has announced that Act 4 Finale will be on the 28th, when is the site going to be updated, as well as an official announcement on the changes to start time of Act 3?

Act 4 is still on the 31st. The finale event is what they were referring to and that is on the 28th – which is act 3.

Because this is not related to acts in any way and not even halloween related? Also, you might be doing something wrong.

NO, the final boss is invulnerable and doesn’t lose it even if you light all the torches. It’s like that on a lot of servers now.

Anthony did mention they would probably be a build to fix some issues, I wouldn’t be surprised if that’s one of them.

SAme for me for The special event im very busy on Monday so they made it sunday so i can enjoy :P

Do any of you know if the content in Act 1 can still be played once Act 2 starts? I’m level 23 and can’t get to the last page of the Mad King Thorn’s memory. I was hoping to level up during the week-end and then get it before starting Act 2.

The Forsaken Hall mini dungeon is unrelated to the Halloween festivities. It’s something new they added in general. It will be there long after Halloween passes. The only things you can do that are specifically Halloween only are the doors, carving pumpkins, candy corn stuff, and the scavenger hunt.

Yeah, that’s a bug happening to a lot of servers.

@Malisouris I readed somewhere that things from Act I will still be active after Act II so yes you can finish that now and after Act II.

So it’s in an hour and a half right? Just to make sure that’s right… Also will the server restart or will the event just happen without having to logout?

PST is 3 hours behind EST (my time) and it’s only almost 1:45 here. So there’s an hour and 15 left until the next Act.

I had thought it was, but people are telling me it starts an hour earlier than he said. I honestly couldn’t say, at this point.

UK is currently running on BST not GMT so it should kick off at 20:00 UK time if its 12:00 PDT. Sundays event will happen at 19:00 for those of us in the UK because the clocks will have changed. But they have not changed yet.

wrong, you need to check your time zone converter again. noon pst is in ~an hour from now.

lol, yes, it is fun to get into the new events and explore. The last one was a bit late, so be mindful that deployment could be delayed.
