Figured I would go ahead and post this since people are still posting the BLC’s and skins

Got my hopes up, I’ll remain optimistic.

This would be nice. I have a lot of random boosters, tonics, gathering tools, etc but not a single Halloween item. And I loves me some spooky.

I just really hope it doesn’t need the tonics. I deleted them by habit (all 150 or so I had).

So glad that I kept everything! I hope that it will work with tonics, salvage kits and gathering tools. Just don’t ask 1000 of those per skin :P

If we can trade account bound items coming from BLC, then great. I’m not expecting to be able to trade regular items from halloween themed items though. It’s a little bit late for those who spent a fortune I’d believe.

I just start wasting my BLC tools to make spaces, since they barely have any charges.. Hopefully we know what they are exactly planning soon, I want spaces.. xD

This is great and all, but I feel that it may cause more issues as well. Many have probably got rid of the extra items that they receive since they are pretty much useless, like the tonics and all. I know I got rid of the tonics because I never have used them.

So this is a pretty slippery slope that must be tred very lightly I feel.

This would be great if I wasn’t in the habit of systematically throwing away the transform potions… they do nothing useful and take up valuable inventory space.
I rapid fire used the first few i got after that every chest opened those things just got trashed.
Bought 35$ worth of gems five times this month.

Well anything that makes the skins more avaliable is bound to bring the price down so even if you don’t have the required stuff you should be able to buy one cheaper.

So all of the boosters, salvage kits and tools can be converted into Halloween items? That’s good to hear. Maybe not the 50$ I spent on keys won’t be for nothing. Glad to see them taking steps like this.

I DO hope we can convert the tonics, as opposed to the tools. I threw out all of the tools since they take up SO much inventory space (since they don’t stack) and are worthless since they are worse than orichalcum tools. The best solution would probably be to not require any bottleneck ingredient which people may have thrown out (ie. allow us to convert only mystery tonics or only tools, in addition to combinations).

Anyways, although I’m biased I do think it makes most sense to use tonics since it is the most reliable way to keep track of chests opened since you get a steady 3 per chest (unless you get an incredibly rare endless tonic), unlike tools which you might not get very many of. I really don’t know why everyone throws them away anyways since they barely take up any room and are pretty fun…

This ceased being about what people were going to get and more about if the company was going to recognize and respond to something that a good many cash dropping customers felt completely spurned by.

They recognized the issue and time and resources are being directed at creating some form of recompense. The snafu is over and done with now. There are a certain number of people that will not be happy with anything they come up with. Even a refund wouldn’t be enough because of the aggravation of it all. There are a certain number of people just won’t buy mystic keys again, ever, regardless of how this is resolved. And there are some that will inevitably scream “unfair” because a solution wasn’t implemented faster and all their BLC goods were trashed or sold. But the effort must be recognized…

There was a problem. We were basically told by CS, and I am paraphrasing “it was a random chance, suck it up”. That didn’t go over well. So now some effort is made to rectify the situation and perhaps the entire fiasco will weigh in to future cash-shop strategies to prevent it from re-occurring.

This is now more about the gesture of action being taken, rather than the problem just being ignored and all mention of it forbade and stricken from the forums. Thats worth trading 100 Black lions Axes for.

Above all else, I hope anet takes stock and learns from this and doesn’t foist chests upon us like this ever again.

Well I guess it’s something though not much since many people have no use for the trash that came from these chests and threw them out already. I don’t need xformation tonics, kill streak boosters, and the myriad of other trashy items from them so I dump them out of habit. I’ll be left out in the cold again on this one. /shrug
