I posted this as a response in another clocktower thread earlier, but seeing as how that thread wasn’t in the Halloween Event forum, I figured I’d put it where more people would see it:

“One other change I think might satisfy a lot of players would be to slow down the speed of the rising acid by maybe 25-50%, but add an extra unique reward for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd players who open the chest at the top. They could even put in a scoring window showing the character names, finishing placement and completion time of those you ran with. This would make it a bit more forgiving for the players that would prefer to hang back and let the herd thin out so they can gauge their jumps better, while also providing incentive for the more competitive players to move as fast as they can (and a means to gloat about their success afterward). It would also help to ensure that a larger percentage of the population would have a better chance at the associated achievement and the base rewards.”

Timing-based achievements could be a thing – for example, a reward or even achievement for completing under a certain timing.

Then again, people will just complain about not being able to get whatever the new highest rank of achievement is >_>
