Seems with Act 2 the zones you need to go to to get the pages to complete the book is getting higher. Been difficult getting into the 45 zones to complete.

So does this mean that wit hthe next Acts that if I am not high level I am pretty much hosed in being able to complete this?

Yes.

There’s always next year, then again since this game can’t fall back on F2P it might be hosed by then.

Aside from the Scavenger Hunt that is the book quest, you get scaled up in the Mad King’s Realm to something appropriate. So I assume they already thought of this, and you will be able to participate in latter events.

Well, you can’t expect them to hand out books with level 60-80 stats to every level 15 character in my opinion. So it is posssible that they did it this way so low level characters and alts could get the book from the first act, mid-range characters could get the one from act 2 and level 80’s might get an even better book in act 3.

This way there’s something for everyone it seems.

The Act 1 book only had +4 Toughness for me. Don’t think that is a Level 80 stat book.

Think the book rewards is based off your level when you do the event and get the reward.

You can do it at a low level (have done it on a lvl 14 so far, gonna try 5 next). You just gotta learn to avoid stuff. Its not always possible, but it can be done. (I had to have be revived a few time (bloodtide coast one is/was my main problem), because, I believe, your aggro range is a lot higher if you are the area’s level or higher). Skills that give swiftness/run speed boost are your friend. However, even though its possible, I do believe they shouldn’t have made it so you have to go to soo high a level area.

Stats are always the same. My lvl 80 had the +4 toughness +3something.

What server are you on, if by chance it’s Eredon Terrace I can run you throw the high level areas

That’s what I mean. The Act 1 book is for low-level characters while the Act 2 book is for mid-level characters. Everyone got +4 Toughness from the Act 1 book, regardless of level.

Now if ANet follows this pattern, there might be a high-level book in Act 3.

I hope this wont be the case as it’s an awesome item and will be a cool collectable for the first major event for the game.
