Clocktower, u need more of thoose arenanet!
I couldn’t agree more, for the first time i felt challenged in guild wars 2, and the reward at the end was awesome for the difficulty of the puzzle.
Completely agree! I spent all night playing it, even after beating it, and just hanging out with other people attempting it. It was much more fun than grinding in the Labyrinth that’s for sure!

This! Loved the challenge. I’m good enough at it now that I can farm ToT bags from it. I hope they add similar puzzles later.
Yeah, the Clock-tower was definitely the highlight of the Halloween events for me. The best part the tower wasn’t that it was just a challenging jumping puzzle experience. It was sharing the losses and victory among the random players I played along with. =P
Can i just say please ignore all the whining about this jumping puzzle, if they don’t do it first time they don’t like it.
My guild and i spent about 3 hours last night doing it, some of us done it! I haven’t laughed so much planning a game EVER!!! =))
Agreed. I now expect something similar (or similarly entertaining) for the other holiday events
Yeah, yeah. Some people gets pleasure when it hurts, not only in a videogame, in other aspects of life too. But usually society doesnt find it normal or adequate.
Gotta agree 100% with this the clock tower is one of the most fun and unique experiences i have in mmorpg.
we really need more of this, some people just gotta learn to control their OCD with achievements some content is not for everyone(like i never gonna get my legendary)
Agreed as well. It took me more than 2 hours of constant trying, but they were incredibly enjoyable 2 hours. The adrenaline rush that I can not stop and the excitment when you get further than the last time
I think a big thing that doesn’t get mentioned often is the social aspect of the Clocktower. After a couple failed runs, you get to talking with the people in your “group” in between runs, and it’s fun. While I dislike the whole Norn/Charr issue with them being all up in my Koolaid, I did enjoy how the puzzle sort of became a group effort or a friendly competition.

This
i agree i loved that puzzle, it was fun and challenging. Don’t listen to all the QQ, all they want is spoonfeeding.
A few issues though :
1. bad camera.. as always
2. Norns & charrs, everyone hate them now
3. The cutscene at the beginning can be frustrating
Keep doings such good things arenanet !

I just wish it was more lucrative.
Title for beating it, title for beating it 25 times, 50 times, etc.
Hell maybe even a skin. RAWR!!
After completing the Mad King’s Clocktower I have to say that ArenaNet is taking this whole concept of the jumping puzzle in a bold new direction. They need more original jumping puzzles like this. Ones with actual moving platforms that you need to time and hop across. Need more.
I raged bad at this when i was doing it and thought it to be a miss. But when you complete it you just want more and more. The idea is great, the difficulty is great. The fact that if you fail a try you dont actually die and have to run from a waypoint is spot on for any future jumping puzzles of the same difficulty. But please do realize that we do not want to watch a cutscene over and over again. When there is an event expected to be repeated several times make so the eventual cutscene is show only once.
agreed, this was amazing
I haven’t bothered to read all the posts complaining about the Clock Tower jumping puzzle. For me, the jumping puzzle was a blast! At times I was frustrated but did find myself laughing here and there. After an hour I got to the end and was very satisfied with the whole experience. It was fun and I enjoyed it. I drive my character and move him with my mouse(a bad mouse at that) and I could see how people that use WASD might find this puzzle extremely hard. But, isn’t that the point?
Thanks for these Halloween events!
Same, even though i havent finished yet its a nice challenge and to me event should have SOME difficult parts. BUT i would like another way to get the Slippers too for ppl who totaly suck at jumping puzzles/hates them so much the can play them.

you can, thye drop from mobs (dont know where) but the slippers are on the TP for like 1-2g
Most fun I’ve had in the game for a while, I’m just happy that I finally got to do something that was challenging.
Gandara
The most awesome and the most irritating experience in the game. WAS THAT FUN MAN But I think I need a break from the game on a short notice
i don’t mind the clocktower jp tbh… but that cutscene was the only annoying part……
but ya, i am all for more contents like this.
Agreed, it was amazing. It’s a small trivial fun little task that has no real major implications e.g. not completing it means no progress towards next storyline.
Best..thing..ever
The social aspect, the fast paced heart pounding action, and THE MUSIC (omg i love the music)
I wish Anet put in a new jumping puzzle every act instead of only adding the clocktower. The clockwater was fun and all but it was way too easy. I really like the rotating parts and all, way better than the current jumping puzzles that are all static and there is no time limit, the clocktower at least tried to be challenging, but it sadly failed at that. I hope there’s a more difficult (and especially longer) jumping puzzle in act 3 or maybe in future seasonal events such as christmas or easter. The only thing I disliked about the clocktower was the intro every time you fail, I had to watch it 4 freaking times.
