Is there a way to obtain these skins through mining or something? This is news to me and I can’t find info ANYWHERE except that they are available through random BL chest drops.

I believe it’s a forge recipe. It’s not the same shield as the skin in the BLC though.

are you saying that you got a shield while mining corn nodes?

I believe the implication is that the person farmed so much corn that they sold it and bought the item they were looking for.

Maybe he traded the candy for trick or treat bags and found one inside?

dont they go for upwards of 30 gold atm he would to have existing gold no way you can make that much farming raw corn its already pretty much worthless

You need 250 candy corn for the recipes…
You need the gift of … (depends on which weapon you want to craft) which is forged from the recipe. Then you need the weaponsmith recipe and Mats to craft them.

They may be an uber rare drop as well.

A Ghastly Grinning Shield can be bought (at this time being 1:40pm eastern on Wednesday, Oct 24) as a custom order for 24g (that’s overbidding the other current bids).

250 Corn sells for ~40 silver at the same time.

Therefore, you’d need around 60 stacks of 250 corn to get your 24g.

Dedicated you can farm 250 corn per half hour (although there are reports of even higher numbers but let’s say an average of dedicated corn farming time.)

That’s 30 hours of farming corn to get the shield at current prices.

Earlier, prices for corn were higher and the shield was lower.

So, chances are when he did it, it took “hours” of farming the corn to get it.

or he bought the one for 150 thinking it was perm login in today he’ll have a surprise!
