Cities other then Lions Arch?
The Mists are decorated, including their own mystic forge.
I’m happy they didn’t spend resources on capital cities, and instead kept the action in one main city. Saves art resources and prevents people from being too spread out. Events in other games where they were in one specific place Always felt more awesome
There’s some stuff going on in the caledon forest A pumpkin carving master and pirate and ghost guaggan.
Yeah there are little signals – costumed trick-or-treaters and such – in other areas, but Lion’s Arch is festival central. Plus, Mad King Thorn is kind of connected to Lion’s Arch specifically, so it makes sense that his legacy would be most celebrated there. Although I’d laugh to see a little encampment of humans determined to celebrate Halloween in Rata Sum despite the asura not knowing the festival at all!
King Thorn is an ancient human ruler of Kryta, Lions Arch being Kryta’s historic capital even as recently GW1.
So it’s not a big surprise lions arch is where it’s all going down.
Garnished Toast
There’s a pumpkin carving Halloween tent just outside Divinity’s Reach. Next to it is a small stage with someone playing the Mad King.
I hope that future holidays are celebrated everywhere, including Home instances or whatever. it feels like most of the cities are under used.
This time around it is Lion’s Arch. I have a suspicion we’ll be spending Christmas in Hoelbrack though.
Cities and the home instance continue to be useless…No big surprise there.
