Clock Tower ~ Asura smallest model
Once you’ve done it once, it’s super easy.
I did it on my Asura finally (only on an Asura) because I kept entering and leaving the clock tower until I got a group without Charr or Norn.
What isn’t a problem for you, is a very real problem for others.
i have a mesmer asura, the smallest one possible…took me around 5 hours to do it the first time and after that i completed it again with dying 3 times. People just like to kitten.
Come on though seriously, For the past almost 2 moths people have been complaining that the games too easy, no challenges… Anet decide to put a challenge in and there’s more people raging about it. Hand eye co-ordination… And yeah…. 6 hours preping for 2 in a row. hah.. good one.
You can’t please everyone.
Also, you are complaining about people complaining.
And I may or may not be complaining about people complaining about people complaining, so I’m out.
Peace!
I found it easier to do as an asura because it forced me not to look at my character. My trouble was that I wasn’t looking ahead and not trusting my hands. It just depends on how good you are with spatial awareness I think. Everyone should try different tips and see what works best. People learn differently.
I also have this wierd thing where I think asura jump better.

Way to miss the point really. The complaints about a lot Asura players having a harder time to spatially coordinate with all the big models flying around and standing on you are not even remotely related to complaints about challenge. They are in a completely different league. By this level designers own words it was originally intended to be singleplayer meaning the challenge wasn’t beating the model game, or a race or anything. It was really beating the puzzle. I know this is quite a letdown.
When I’m playing WvW I’m really playing LSD.

Just read that reddit page. The suggestion that someone made about making everyone an equal size, different colored skeleton should definitely be put in. That way the puzzle has an equal difficulty for everyone. Regardless of size.
I’ve honestly changed my mind about this puzzle. The learning curve is practically vertical and it doesn’t give much room for mercy or error, which automatically culls a lot of players that don’t have the dexterity, patience or the determination (or plain stubbornness) to take it on over and over again. There are several bugs (even instance breaking ones, such as the one that kept me from success fourteen times on Sunday morning), but overall it’s pretty interesting once you beat it.
During all my runs, it was either an asura, human or sylvari that consistently made it to the top with me, if I wasn’t the lone survivor.
Never really saw a charr or norn make it. I know a guildie of mine has because he won’t let me live down the fact that he did it in two tries last night. :P

Asura is easy mode in this jumping puzzle. Charr is hard mode.
Hard mode is what’s happening with my son’s attempts, everytime he gets to the top and goes for the final jump his game crashes. :/
