Was in town at the time and did not recieve a witches hat, stayed the whole party and got all titles from “Special Event” but no hat.

What to do??

Their is a chest that pops. IT doesn’t show, but is right their in the middle of the costume brawl. Look for it on the next go around.

I did on next round and it gave me trick or treat bag

I got 1 piece of candy corn from the chest

Same here, got a gold medal and no witch hat – due to the culling bug

The chest did not appear for me during the costume brawl and for at least ~10 minutes afterwards as I ran around the area. I’m guessing most of my fellow players also did not actually fall into view (culling bug) either because even during the Mad King event, I was clearly only seeing a fraction of the actual players from the surrounding area doing emotes/saying stuff and other general shenanigans.

Bummer and really a sad let down to the whole finale if there was more than a witch hat in that chest

Maybe you have only 1 chance to get the hat. And if you forgot the chest the first time you won’t be able to get the hat later? But that would be a problem for people that are just in the area of the event but not really trying to participate and then of course not going to look for a chest should the still get chest rewarded.

I did not receive the hat as well, couldn’t find or see the chest. Havent done 2nd run yet but I may have lost m’ hat!

I was there for the first time the event started, and not everybody got a hat. I even heard someone saying they got a rock. It’s really just chance.

Yes I must admit I missed chest first time around and only come across it later on and got 1 corn piece, surely they would not expect people to know that though?. And if i dont recieve Witches Hat because of this then I would be rather dissapointed to be honest. Can any devs shed some light on the situation?

Just got hat from 3rd event , this time I only just arrived and missed most of the Mad King lol.

I just wanted to clarify that this isn’t true. I completed it with a silver and I got the hat the first time I checked.

I’ve completed the “Mad King Says” event twice with the gold reward both times. The first time I got a single piece of candy corn from the chest. The second time, I got some trick or treat bags. No hat as of yet.

Either there’s more to it than that, or there’s a bug. I participated in the event, even stayed until the event complete notification appeared. No hat.

I got the hat on first try , but i wonder if there is any reason to do it more times…

@Nox: my 2nd time i got 10 ToT Bags (never done it more than 2 times though so dunno if there is other options beside that as well, but you will get something at least)

That don’t sounds correct for me, because when log into L.A., I just see the chest and did open it. Than I already got the witch hat and the achievements. (without any emote nor even that I did make)

But I did try it later with an other char. You will get also a Witch Hat the first time you are looting the chest (this time I did the event first). Since it is account bound you can get them easy as much as you want.

@GummiBear Ic ty , most likely then is like the chest at tower then , first time special item , after that … ToT.

The chest reward depends on your event level I think. I got the hat at silver the first time through, then 10 ToT bags on silver. When I got gold I got 25 ToT bags. Doing the same emote more than once helped with the gold.

Well i got gold just doing each emote once , but i did 100% of the emotes.

Still i will consider if i want to spend time there , i think i would rather just do CT if im going to farm bags.
