When patch 2 went live Queensdale was covered in pumpkins on my map. Anyone who wanted to get to the realm could do so easily by looking at their map and walking to a nearby door. This happened every 15 minutes or so making access to the core of this content easily available to everyone. Now I have been in Queensdale for over an hour. I’ve completed several door events and not a single one has opened to the Mad King’s Realm. For over an hour myself and others have been arguing on map chat about how to get to the realm (many who weren’t in game 12 hours ago) because no-one is able to get through.
What happened? When it comes to Guild Wars 2, when stuff like this happens, the simplest and most frequently correct explanation (sadly) is that it’s a bug and there is nothing we can do about it. Did someone “patch” the game and now you have to be crazy lucky to find a working door or something? Is this a server specific thing? I haven’t seen a single orange pumpkin on my mini-map in Queensdale in over and over. In the past it used to be littered with them.
