Endless Halloween Tonic
It’s luck. Not a guarantee. My friend opened 20 bags and got 3 Endless Tonics. I wouldn’t give up though, cause you can get recipes worth 1.3g ;D
I know people who opened 1000, 2000, 5000 and 7000. I’ve heard of people opening 10,000. None of them got it.
I opened about 250 and got it.
I have obtained said recipes multiple times. Just no tonic. I just don’t know when I draw the line. My guild members said I should stop. I told them this is something I really want but like you said it’s not guaranteed.
This RNG crap is just the worst thing a game can have. This tonic is not even tradeable why would it have such an astronomical drop rate. I’ve opened thousands of bags, still no tonic. Its getting ridiculous. To be fair, they should make it so we can combine the other tonics for a chance at the endless one like they did with the mad king chest.
Well. I’m all fine with chance but I have opened 5,000+ bags. Personalized and not. I’m just worried hearing some people open 10,000 and no results. When do I decide to stop. Normally I wouldn’t care how long it takes but if the event ends they I have no chance to get it.
I opened up 2k personalized ToT bags when the event first started, cause I was making money selling the items inside and got no tonic. Traded for 24 bags 2 days later and it was in there. I say don’t obsess about it, if ya get lucky ya get lucky =D
It took me between 1k and 1.5k to get mine. On the other hand, a friend of mine opened more like 2k+ and didn’t get one.
Maybe around 2500 at this point, plus all the personalized ones I got by trading all that corn. I still haven’t found one, but at least I’ve gotten a couple Superior recipes.
(PS: It only works with personnalized ones.)
Just saying because some people here don’t seems to know.
wrong its in both bags, the GW2 wiki says its in PToT and ToT
I opened like 15000 and then got two in the last 500 or so (didn’t even notice til I went to the bank that I got more than one). I believe both came from personalized, but I opened regular ToT bags to get the corn to trade (from the kids in Lion’s arch), and sold the mats to npc vendors. It’s about a 75% return if you do that, so you don’t lose TOO much money (but it takes an ungodly amount of time to trade with those kids running around willy-nilly).
However, my point I made a few days ago still stands: ENDLESS TONICS SHOULD BE TRADEABLE! I would love to give my extra tonic to somebody, and I would love even more being able to buy the furniture endless from somebody. I’m something of a tonic collector, so the ridiculous lengths you must go to to get the endless ones in this game is infuriating. If you think the halloween one is bad, I spent over 100g on gems to get my tree endless from a blc, and that was a MONTH ago (when gems cost half what they do now).

I think people are missing the point… People have gone into this game thinking that they will be able to get everything. It is not like this nor was it like this in the original Guild Wars. Some things you get and others you don’t, it adds a uniqueness to the game and individuals who obtain these items.
Having the tonics be account bound is absolutely stupid. I got a halloween tonic after opening about 10 bags, but I don’t actually want it, none of the transformations interest me and I’d much rather have one of the other endless tonics.
I honestly don’t understand the reasoning behind them being bound, but I’ll assume its some kind of money grabbing scheme from anet, practically everything in gw2 is.
I have opened at least 15,000 Regular ToT Bags. In addition to that, I’ve opened at least 5,000 pToT Bags. I haven’t got a single Endless Tonic. That was the whole reason I was dumping money into to Bags and Candy Corn in the first place! But after spending 20+ gold, I believe that the bags don’t even contain the Endless Halloween Tonic anymore.
If I knew it would cost me more than 20gold to get nothing, or even to get the tonic. I never would have done it. However, I’ve seen all of these posts about people who opened like 50, or 300 bags and got the Tonic, and I just think; what the hell? Random number games suck.
TL;DR: I spent 20+ gold on 15k ToT bags and 5k pToT bags and didn’t get a single Endless Tonic.
