Guild Wars 2

I am not sure how many other posts may have been placed about this but I wanted to voice my thoughts. First off, I love this event, I think you all did such an amazing job with it. I wanted to ask if it was possible to extend it, even if just through the weekend. There are millions of people suffering on the east coast without power etc. due to Hurricane Sandy and I thought maybe the good people here at the Guild Wars 2 team would recognize that and give them a chance to see this great event. It’s hard to say when everyone will be back obviously, may take two weeks for some people to be with power. But I thought a small extension would at least give some of the people that are suffering there a chance to possibly be able to get on and partake in this. It’s a hard time for many & maybe having the chance to get online and escape the horrors of what they experienced might be therapeutic for them, knowing that they were thought of and given a chance to have some fun like the rest of us. Thank you and I hope this goes well for everyone. Again, keep up the great work with Guild Wars 2 !!!

There are many posts about this and ANet has indicated that they can’t due to some major update they are planning for early/mid November.

There are a ton of threads on this, most of which have been dismissed since yesterday.

A Dev had commented that an extension will not be available due to a November 15th update which is expected to be quite large.

Anet has already specifically said that they cannot do this, and that the safety and well being of your personal self is more important than any computer game.

If they can’t put the dungeon back in, can they at least remove the need for it from the Emissary title? My power literally went out in the middle of that phase 3 dungeon…

They can still release their patch. It shouldn’t be difficult for them to keep this running through the weekend lets say & still be on track for their big patch.

They already said it can’t be done, do you have some information that they don’t?
