Feeling like the clock tower is a little inconsiderate
It’s still optional. Not having a title doesn’t impede your game progression. Besides, I think you only need to complete 5 events to get the title.
You can’t please everyone.
as people sad in other posts achievement for clock tower doesn’t count to Emissary of the Mad King
so dont get the achievement and stop whining. i cant believe people are complaining about something fun to do
also the achievement doesnt count towards the meta (unless it is bugged)

No, but it does impede my enjoyment of the game since I wanted the title. Of course I was willing to work for it. And I’d never want them to NOT have the clock tower available for those that wanted to do it. I just think it’s inconsiderate to have it be a core achievement for the event. What’s next? Jumping puzzles for dungeons?

So what’s the clock tower achievement about if it doesn’t count towards the mad king? I was under the impression that it was for the title.
I think whats inconsiderate is the fact they made content solely to be frustrating. Im seriously doubting the visions of this team lately.
You dont need the clock tower done for the halloween title, it doenst count
IT is allot of fun for those of us who like the puzzle and adventure style achievements. For those that don’t go away. No reason to take part in something you hate.
You don’t need to complete the tower for the title.

Figured maybe that’d get people’s attention since they’ve ignored others above me saying it

In normal gameplay I would 100% agree with you.
For a limited time holiday event? No. I have always felt holiday events should be fun and something the entire community can do together and not make any of the player base rage or hate the event.
Holidays stick in the community’s “collective mind” for a long time, and do you really want the thing everyone remembers about GW2 first holiday to be bad odds in chests and a jumping puzzle half the people cant finish?
This puzzle should have really be put in place in the regular game, as a normal puzzle event, not a part of a holiday.
I don’t find frustration to be fun.
It takes ages to retry, you can’t see a thing with everyone jumping at the same time, and the camera collides with literally everything on screen, so in the few seconds no one is covering your model and you can see where you are, your camera is stuck behind your feet or someone else’s feet, because it’s colliding with some minuscule rock or corner you won’t even see if it wasn’t for the camera being pushed around by it.
I’d like to do the puzzle, because I can’t. I’m not playing against the puzzle, I’m playing against its issues.
I’ve played Super Meat Boy. It was insanely hard, and it was insanely fun.
You could die countless times in a row, and it had some bugs.
But the thing is, levels restarted also insanely fast, and no bugs prevented completion of maps just the opposite, and I could stop anytime I wanted, and continue anytime I wanted.
For something that will stay for such a little time, less people enjoy it than people that are frustrated about it.
All my guildies that tried it spent more time complaining in the waiting room about the multiple issues they found than actually trying to do it.
The “inconsiderate” part about the Clock tower is that a couple of norn or charr in the group screw things for everybody else, because they block the view of where you need to jump to and even block the view of your own character.
That and the asura camera keeps zooming all the way in each time you land on a new platform (but that bug has been around for a month – it’s pretty obvious Arena Net only tests the jumping puzzles with human / sylvari characters, and probably never with more than one or two players present at the same time).
Make it a solo instance and it might be fun. As it is, it’s just a device to make players hate each other.
