Guild Wars 2

I posted this in the General Bugs or w/e section but no answer so I guess I’ll try here..

I talked to the NPC to get the second book without realizing I didn’t have the first book (Friend told me where second one was).
So, I didn’t get anything so I went back to get the first book, and when I went back again to the second NPC, I couldn’t get the book.

How am I going to get my second book and progress along the story of the event :[

did you throw away the second book you got the first time?

No. Never got one to start with.

I talk to the NPC and get the choices…

“That story never gets old”
“What Happened?”
“No Time for Talking To Ghosts”

and no matter which one I choose, it leads to nothing. Well, at least not the proper thing to start off with

Anyone know?

I want to be able to progress with getting the books :[

sorry, I didn’t read your post properly, my bad.

have you spoken to Tassi yet to get the scanner? it sounds like a daft question (and it is) just trying to get a sense of what you have done and what you haven’t, so please bare with me. if you’ve spoken to Tassi, but haven’t got anything in your inventory, check your ingame mail. if you have the scanner you might want to get Serene (she’s a ghost a few paces to the right of Tassi), that might help you progress.

I have gotten the scanner. I’ve gotten every other book other than number two.

It just doesn’t give me the option to get it anymore.

Basically, I talked to the NPC (sampson) who gives you the 2nd book first before talking to the NPC that gives you the first book, so apparently that screwed it all up for book #2

thats very odd, I didn’t think there was a specific order to them, otherwise the first book wouldn’t have clues for the last one. what if you figured that out first?

anyway, he’s probably bugged (it happens sometimes) see if you can get some of the other books first and go back to him. if he still doesn’t give you the book and if Tassi doesn’t accept that you finished, submit a ticket in-game. he might get fixed then with the next update.

don’t worry, you still have plenty of time to go back and do it. you have until the end event, so plenty of time
