Hi everyone and Happy Halloween!
I can’t speak for all of us, but I for one am having a blast with the Mad King events so far I think I do speak for all of us when I say it would be nice for ArenaNet to clarify how to obtain some of the holiday goodies!
The three craft-able Exotic Mad King weapons in particular are a large investment. The recipes and materials can all be obtained during the event and used to craft the weapons at a later time (even after the event ends.)
The issue is there are several versions of the lists of materials required for the recipes and the weapons themselves circulating the internet none of which are officially confirmed by ArenaNet. I understand that these recipes are meant to be discovered, but seeing as how the Halloween materials needed to create them are only available for a limited time, I think it only fair if Developers could confirm the correct requirements for all Holiday items.

Personally, my only wish this Halloween event is to be able to craft The Crossing staff for my elementalist; it is my favorite staff style in the game! After ~16g for the Gift of Souls recipe, ~1g for the Superior Sigil of Night recipe, along with the candy corn and nougats, I am hoping that I am done spending gold on the components exclusive to the Halloween event. Please let me know ArenaNet, I would hate to have spent hard earned gold just to have collected the wrong materials or not enough of what I need before the event ends.
To my (the internet’s) knowledge, this is the complete requirement list for The Crossing. Please correct me if I’m wrong.

Gift of Souls Recipe:
250 Candy Corn
40 Elonian Wine
10 Crystalline Dust
100 Nougat Center

Gift of Souls:
250 Orichalcum Ingot
20 Glob of Ectoplasm
1 Gift of Knowledge
100 Crystal Lodestone

Superior Sigil of Night:
1 Orichalcum Ingot
1 Glob of Ectoplasm
1 Glacial Lodestone
100 Candy Corn

The Crossing:
1 Eldritch Scroll
100 Mystic Coin
20 Superior Sigil of Night
1 Gift of Souls

As far as I know, this is one of the recipes. Superior Sigil of night has multiple different recipes though.

Well they let us trade in BLC items for Mad King chests to get more Halloween stuff. Now they just need to let us turn in all the Halloween stuff to get a cool skin.

Or maybe they can add a new weapon that comes in via the mail called the Mad King Sword or something like that. And they can pretend it was in all along. That would make a lot of people happy. ^^

I’m hoping for skins for a wider variety of weapons Seeing the awesome greatsaw skin makes me wish I had something neat to put on my hammer. Can’t help but wish for something like the super sledge from the fallout series.
