Hi all!

So far my experience with the GW2 community has shown that the people playing this game are incredibly friendly and helpful. I’m wondering if a few of you kind souls could help me out with some info about the Halloween content?

I have an extremely demanding full time job that is consuming huge amounts of my time these last few weeks. I haven’t had the time to look around the game world or the forums to figure out all there is to do. Tomorrow evening I have the whole night free and plan on knocking out as much of it as I can. Could someone be so kind as to post a short list of all the Halloween content? I know about the scavenger hunts (completed #1 and got the book already).

This is what I know about:
-Scavenger Hunt: Act 1 – completed (where do I trade it in for the back piece?)
-Scavenger Hunt: Act 2 – need to do
-Scavenger Hunt: Act 3 – need to do
-Scavenger Hunt: Act 4 – need to do

-Pumpkin Carving – done about 20 or so of them

-Clock Tower Puzzle – where do I go to try this?

-Mad King Battle / Dungeon – Where is this?

-Haunted Doors in Human lands – When you enter these is there any specific goal or is it just running around killing the stuff in there?)

-I’m sure I’m missing more?

Before someone comes on here calling me lazy or telling me to look around – I know the information is on the forums and other sites, but I do not have the time to sort through all the posts and sites looking for this info. This is my first MMO and I am truly loving GW2 – I really do want to experience all the holiday event has to offer.

Being a busy person I do realize the value of time and want to send a big THANK YOU to anyone who responds to this post in advance!

Thanks

If you go to Divinity’s Reach, right outside in Queensdale there are tons of haunted door portals (they appear as pumpkins on your mini-map). You enter these to access the jumping puzzle, as well as the two mini games.

The dungeon can be found in Lion’s Arch. Where the lion fountain is/was. It is replaced with a portal now to the Mad King’s Realm.

And you trade in your pages back to the npc in Lion’s Arch where you took the scavenger quest.

It’s possible you deleted them, but you should have actually got some mail in game leading you to the beginning of the events. Except for the pumpkins – those things are all over the place, just look at all the towns (and check LA repeatedly if you get in overflow because those in the different overflow servers count as not-yet-done pumpkins).

The 1st hunt thing you just go back to the NPC you got the scanner from in LA (forget the name now, it’s an asura).

I don’t know anything about the scavenger hunt; sorry!

There’s 36 pumpkins per map (i think). They’re cleverly hidden, and you get the title ‘Master Carver’ if you carve some obscene number of them.

The clock tower puzzle is in Mad King’s Labyrinth. Go through a Haunted Door, and talk to the NPC near the portal (Don’t take the portal). He’ll bring you to the Clock Tower.

The Mad King dungeon is in the Grand Piazza in Lion’s Arch.

I hope that helps :>

As far as I know for he scavanger hunt, and no where on the internet is there anything mentioning one further, there isn’t one in Act 3 and probably not one in Act 4 either. After you finish the 2nd part it sounds pretty finished. So that isn’t too time consuming.

Here is a guide I wrote that covers most of the Halloween stuff. I think I am missing some of the Halloween specific crafting info that I am finishing up but the rest is all there. Just ignore the static content as they will be still here after Halloween

Haunted door – Found in human lands when zone wide quest is completed. Shows on mini map as a jack o lantern. Grants access to mad realm.

Mad Realm – Grants access to Reaper’s Rumble, Lunatic Inquisition, Clocktower, and Labyrinth.

Reaper’s Rumble – A DOTA style game, make skeletons spawn on your side, destroy the skeleton spawners on the other side.

Lunatic Inquisition – Monsters and Villagers style game. If a monster catches a villager the villager becomes a monster. Game ends after 13 minutes or if all villagers are turned into monsters.

Clock Tower Puzzle – A jumping puzzle that takes a few minutes to complete if you don’t fall. It’s timed and a large portion of the community can’t complete it.

Labyrinth – A mini dungeon with events and candy corn to mine. 2 large boss events that each spawn a chest once they’re defeated.

Ascent to Madness – An instanced dungeon encounter where 5 players face off against the Mad King himself. Rewards a large chest at the end.

Queensdale is definitely the best place to go to get to the mad king’s realm quickly. There are portals everywhere. once there, you’ll see an npc standing on a rock. Talk to him, and he’ll give you options. Inquisition and Reaper’s Rumble are both pretty fun pvp events that you might want to check out. This npc is also how you get to the clock tower.

To your right of the npc, you’ll find a stone circle which is the portal down to the labyrinth. That’s mostly running around and killing halloween mobs. Every haunted door that opens in the labyrinth will start one of the door events. A champion will also spawn at the top of the hill in the middle, and you can loot a pretty nice chest once a day there.

The dungeon is right in the middle of lion’s arch. You shouldn’t have any problem finding that or finding people to do it with you. There’s also a giant cauldron that you can jump into to put on a halloween costume. While in costume, you can brawl other people in costumes. Mostly, that seems to be for the brawling achievement, but it is pretty fun to try out at least.

Act 4 hasn’t happened yet. That should start on Wednesday (10/31). I think that’s pretty much it…

Edit: I guess I took too long typing that as you’ve already been answered multiple time. :P

Scavenger Hunt Act 2: Head to the Ascalonian Settlement in Gendarran and follow the clues from there. The answers are: Martyr's Tomb in the Ruins of Demetra, Harathi. Shipwrecked boat in Bloodtide near Laughing Gull Waypoint. Seraph's Landing in Harathi; head to the storage room with haybales. Green bridge across Arca Lake, Harathi. Fort Cadence, go down to the bottom of the tombs, Sparkfly Fen.

Pumpkin Carving: Easy but time consuming. Pumpkins are all over Lion’s Arch and the northern half of Queensdale, and also in Kessex Hills and Gendarran. Remember that carvings are account bound. So a single character can carve a single pumpkin once, but another character can carve it again, and another character can carve it again, and so on. Overflow zones do not count against you, so if you carved one pumpkin in Lion’s Arch, you can carve it again on the same character in Lion’s Arch Overflow.

HERE is the circuit you run in Lion’s Arch. And HERE is the circuit you run in Queensdale. Run these circuits on multiple characters, and also in overflow, to get your 150 Pumpkins.

ALSO! Remember that the Mad King’s Labyrinth has a ton of Pumpkins scattered about. Feel free to pick up some progress on your carvings while traveling there.

Clock Tower Puzzle: Head through a haunted door. Near the waypoint, you’ll see an NPC. Talk to him, and he’ll take you to the clock tower. The clock tower does NOT count toward your Title achievement.

Mad King Battle: Lion’s Arch, broken fountain. Hard to miss. People will be spamming /map with LFG requests—join a group and hop in.

Haunted Doors: These lead to the Mad King’s Realm. In the Realm, talk to the NPC, who will take you to either the Clock Tower or two competitive minigame areas. Conversely, you can go into the Labyrinth, which has pumpkins, Halloween Events, lots of Halloween Enemies to kill, plenty of Candy Corn, and the occasional Champion Enemy who drops a treasure box.

Deadline for Mad King Battle is until Act IV. Everything else lasts until the end of the event.

WOW!!! What an amazing community!!

I just posted a little while ago and look at all the responses. Thank you guys so much, I can’t tell you how much I appreciate all your tips and info. This is going to save me so much time and allow me to really just focus on having fun (while still being able to complete everything ).

I’m going to print this all out and read it during my boring meetings this afternoon. Why listen to cost allocation plans when you could be learning about Guild Wars! Hahahahaha!!

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

Happy Halloween!

I would also reply to help you out as per your request, instead I’m going to help you narrow down the replies you received in this thread as to which ones are going to be more useful.

Rabbit’s is brief and to the point, but will lack in-depth information if that’s something you want.

Dulfy’s is excellent. She is an amazing contributor to the gaming community in general, and will not disappoint.

Eveningstar herself is an exceptionally helpful and well informed person that also will not lead you astray.

My recommendation is to take your pick out of those 3. In my opinion you really lucked out by getting both dulfy and eveningstar in this thread =P
