Guild Wars 2 Forum - Halloween Event

If you haven’t noticed yet the % that is on the downloader is based on a count of the files, not on the size of the patch. That’s why when you get to 99% you’ll have 24 files remaining but it’ll sit there for a couple minutes cuz each of those files is like 20 mb a piece.

is everyone else’s speed really inconsistent? I peak around 2MB/sec but then will drop all the way to 100KB/sec and everything inbetween… seems like just under 1MB/sec if i had to guess an average…

The percentage goes by number of files, not size of DL.

Oh man… Waited an hour to download the patch. Finished. Ran game. Decided I wanted to launch it with Steam instead. Went back to re-downloading…from the beginning. Ugh.
