Just wanted to let AN know that they have lost a player due to stating the “one time” holiday event @ 3:00am est. For such a progressive MMO to make such a horribly unprogressive move is crazy to me.

Then they say to “go watch it on youtube or livestream?”,really? Sorry,no. I’ll go play MMOs that make things accessible to people in other time zones then.

Hope you guys realize what you have done,it seems like a bad path to start down on.

The Act 3 event is at 12:00 PM PST on Sunday the 28th – that’s 3:00 PM EST on Sunday, not 3:00 AM.

Your loss. To quit a great game because the company chose to put it right in the middle of activity peaks for the week is silly.

You’re acting like this event is a make or break gaming experience. If you miss it honestly who cares?

ANet better watch out, they’ve lost a serious player. And he’s leaving promptly at 2:45pm PST, that’s 8:23am EST, and Christmas Morning in Singapore.

If it was a small event, they wouldn’t be worrying about “spoilers” and making it one time.

Where is this watch it on youtube comment or is this just the special event thread being mis-quoted?

Also, as a matter of course, I add all the people that say they are leaving over something menial to my friends list to see how many of them actually stick to their guns. I think the longest I see one hold out was about four days.

So good luck to you sir. Im sure youll be enjoying the game again soon. Maybe spend the downtime figuring out your time zones.

“bad path to start down on” – Generally not being able to tell time correctly is a pretty bad path to start on, especially when that path includes making posts on official forums and making a fool of yourself.

I’m not sure where you came up with this timing (unless you’re not realizing that pm is not am) – 12pm is LUNCH time, NOT midnight which is 12AM. So the event will be at 3pm est, NOT 3am. Also, if you look at the post, they refer to GMT as well – 19:00GMT is 15:00 EST which is 3pm your time.

PS: Looks like a lot of other posts came in while I was writing mine and there were 0 responses lol, guess I need to type faster

3 PM is such a terrible time on a Sunday to hold an event. /sarcasm

I wish all of you would stop trying to convince him not to rage quit. Let him go. We shouldn’t be supporting and encouraging the brainless to play. :P

This guy probably lives in the same timezone as mine, it’s also happening at 3am on Monday here. I’m from the Philippines, and we have a decent amount of player base in our server at least (Isles of Janthir). Unlike him though, I’m not complaining. Just clarifying on the timezone issue.

I also think people should respect his opinion, it’s out of frustration, maybe he really won’t quit the game? He clearly wanted to participate. People say things when they’re pissed. Every player counts.

No, he specifically said 3am EST. Which means he lives on the eastern coast of North or South America and he can’t tell time.

No, I assume he was told 3 and mistook it for am when it is pm, he said 3am EST, which is just wrong. It is 3 pm EST.

Sorry but this sounds like a little whiny kid who throws a tantrum b/c he can’t get any candy. Grow up bud, seriously….
