I couldn’t get my [witch hat] (misspelled cause otherwise it thinks I’m trying to say a bad word LOL) because of the insane loading and lag. I swapped overflows but the chest still wouldn’t show up. I am just curious if the event will rerun and if so how often?

That would be silly if it never happened again.. but who knows.

Noon on a weekday seems to be an AWFUL time for a one time only event.

as they said there was only 1 one time event, I’m sure this will repeat.

In GW1 Mad King Says happened hourly, I expect nothing less than a one hour reset on the event if this is the same A.net that made GW1

Been 45 minutes on Tarnished Coast too.
He is currently just standing on top of the bank.

Silver is good enough for the chest, which I couldn’t see but could open. The event re-started after 45 mins on Gate of Madness. As other servers have had other restart durations, it’s probably random.

I’m happy a lot of people were able to get their hats this time around. Especially for people who missed it earlier.

it happens about every hour, not every few minutes.

@Zyava When the game ends and he grows tired he disappears and instead a chest pops up and everyone is put into costume.

Problem is, I logged out when mad king appeared and logged back in to do it on a different character, but he wasn’t in that overflow. He does seem to appear about every hour, but it is not exact and the overflows do not match up.

Laughing at his jokes is not Mad King Says unfortunately. Mad King Says is the game in the center where you emote to everything he says.

Your instance of the Mad King must have been bugged. That is supposed to happen.
