How do we open the portals to the mad kings realm? Yesterday when I logged on, there were tons of the pumpkin icons on the minimap. Now I don’t see any, either in Gendarran or queensdale.

I think it is over as they have turned back to trick or treat doors.Have to wait for Act 3.

Meta event chains. Gendarrans field the one is in the south west I think. You need to complete the chain. Which means doing the smaller events(and really trying to do all of them I think there is some defense stuff where you could lose progress and do some attack or ecsort quest again if you don’t defend). Then a bigger boss will spawn and after you beat it the doors will open.

Also these events count for achievement halloween events with highest tier needing 10.

But I only keep seeing the same events (in queensdale). Is it bugged?

Both the event chains in Gendarren Fields and Queensdale seem to be bugged on my server. They aren’t progressing and people are there for hours without seeing a single door which will let them into the Mad King’s Realm. This content is inaccessible for my server.

Are the events supposed to fail? If so, that seems counter intuitive.

I don’t think they were intended to be inaccessible, since they were all over the place yesterday night. Maybe one of the patches today broke it?

I have been in Queensdale for past four and half hours done those events for 1 hour and half and no doors spawned to Mad King’s Realm. I think it’s not working as intended.

Is there any other way to get to the tower that doesn’t need those doors? Please Anet, can you confirm there is a bug stopping the doors from showing up now? If there is, can you please give us an alternate to get to the tower at least.

It’s bugged on my server too. The scholars just do the same two events over and over and the final event that spawns the boss and then the doors does not trigger. However, I was able to enter the mad king’s realm by knocking on haunted doors until one let me in. It spawned a treat bag, just like during act 1, but the door allowed me to interact with it after that (Enter the Mad King’s Realm). There were no pumpkin icons on the map, the scholars were not done with their thing, and it took me several doors before I could find one to let me in. (just completed this right now)

Yeah I did just happen to get that rekia. Thanks. Now I can spend the rest of my day trying to get the Tower jp done.

It’s random random random! Just go to Provern shore in Gandarran Fields and keep opening doors until one has a pumpkin over it. I can confirm this because I’ve done it twice now.

There are 4 doors that spawn around the pirate camp.

Ours in Gendarran has been bugged for more than 24 hours. This is on Blackgate server. Gotta love the bugs. And we wondered where all those plastic spiders came from…
