Does it do anything when you do the Mad King dungeon? I notice it replaces the skills in your bar with emotes to essentially play “simon says” but does it do anything? Sorry if this has been asked, but I couldn’t find an answer.

He just likes to play with you while your being attacked. He eventually gets bored, and opts just to try and continue killing you anyways.

If you don’t succeed with the correct one in time, you get knocked down and take damage.

Personally, I think it should affect all party members rather than 1, but maybe they felt that it was too hard with the monsters spawning and all.

I don’t even see the bar popup unless I stay at the doorway when he’s talking.

I did like 30 MK runs before I even realized it was supposed to change your skillbar.

Mad King Thorn randomly picks one player to be his target when he tells people to Cower/Salute etc. I’ve had it happen to me twice out of 6 or so runs.

I was never targeted, but I did it anyway – for old times sake

I hope the Party at the end of the event is him returning to Lion’s Arch, apologizing for all of this as a big holiday-themed misunderstanding, and then requiring a game of The Mad King Says as penance for his subjects trying to rise up against him. Bad guy that he is, I can’t help but love the Mad King.
