Post here if you COMPLETED the Clocktower!
I had the time and energy, I’m awesome. Looking forward to next year.
In some seriousness, my current record is 9 completions. It gets much easier the more you finish it. Someone in my guild got to 13 before getting tired/bored. What’s your’s?
About probably 25+ times.
And another 8 attempts that failed because I didn’t know I was lagged and the clock tower face was off by 4 sides.

Did we not have another thread just like this one? Anyways, I did it a bunch of times for the ToT bags. I’ve got about 750 of em by now.
Right here.
It sucks that the people who are complaining about this event probably are keyboard turners and clickers
It makes me sad that these kind of people are in the majority, and because of this we won’t see content as fun and challenging as the clocktower

I’m a keyboard turner and a clicker. Not sure what you’re trying to imply with that statement.
I completed the clock tower, took about 2 hours worth of attempts for me. After an hour I was semi consistently getting near or to the final jump. I liked the tower but the last jump was irritating because a couple times it really looked like i made it through the break in the clock.

Yep, I realized I had to jump straight forward, and not lean at all to the right (so that it looked like I was hitting the wall to the left side of the clock face and not the actual hole). It took me about 3 faceplants into the side of the tower to realize it.
All i got say is this:

Guess you get my point.
@ Rekia – o wow. now THAT is overcoming a challenge! wait, are you meaning that you keyboard turned for the clock tower jump puzzle? if so, a tip of the helm to you.
Akaigi | Warrior Made of Wood
[CDS] – Sanctum of Rall
I managed it four times, over a total of 30 hours attempting it. The first three times, I received no reward or achievement, and it didn’t get any easier. The fourth and final time, I received my rewards, but the tower itself bugged out on me.
Took me about five hours this was pretty difficult, Anet did a fantastic job on this.
Darkness Is Everywhere [DiE] Blackgate
Finally, I got slippers after 10 hours of trying.
kitten thread =O
1800 ToT bags farmed from there.
Guardian
After 2 hours of falling over and over, I made it. Wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be from all the comments on it, but it was tough though.
I completed it on a Asura, Charr, Humand and a Norn.
Love the puzzle and i hope there will be more in the future.
Good job Anet.
The Goonie who wasn’t in the movie.

Here’s the original topic. Could moderator be so kind and merge them maybe?
It was hard at first, but after i completed it once, it got real easy for me and did it countless times after….
Best jumping puzzle ever, i’ll miss it!
Took me 24 hours total to get it, but I finally got it.
13 completions for me. It took me roughly 10 hours of fail before I completed it.
Once you’ve got a pretty high success rate, the challenge is getting as many of the mad king chests as you can.
Completed it after 3 hours of trying, farming stuff to create specific looking gear isn’t what suits my fancy in MMOs so i never tried again. Personally i enjoyed the tower, although my family might decide otherwise considering all the screams of agony i released every time i failed.
But hey, there were only a handful of factors that were just a big mess that caused a lot of the failures:
1) Big fat kitten charrs and norns blocking my sight… (Anet, make the next jumping puzzles in the same style as the tower PERSONAL instances so idiots who wanna do it with a max sized norn or charr don’t ruin the sight for a small sized human)
2) The blocks that spawn as a second starting line have certain blocks that feel hooked on which your char can get stuck at (and if unlucky with your angle) blocks your sight.
3) A few jumps are borderline, if you don’t run the full lenght of the previous the jump will fail utterly.
Technically if you can get past the jump where you do a sharp turn to jump onto a 1 piece block and onto the block that goes steep, you’re actually past the hard part and by then you should usually be free from sight blocking charrs.
But in reality you can’t truely see this as a puzzle, cause the way you need to complete this one is by memorizing every jump you do after each failure, cause you don’t have time to calculate jumps.
I’ve done it on all my characters, Asura, Sylvari, and human
recorded one of them

it now only takes me 1-2 ( max 3 attempts )
:D
Took like two days, or a few hours. The second half is so much easier than the first half – once I got past the “leap of faith” section I got it on the 3rd try. It was the kitten first half with the unreliable collisions that kept getting me. :P
Completed it 4 times (3 times for friends, once for my own)
First run: 2 hours long of frustration!
Second to fourth run: 2 attempts
Gotta say, the first time, I was really happy I finished it. Had a talk with the other 3 who got there after me. Probably the best challenge I’ve had in a while. Would love more puzzles like this.
GL – “The Afternoon’s Watch” [OATH]
Completed about 10 times, best puzzle on Guild Wars 2, really funny and challenging! I hope to see more puzzles like Clocktower in a future
Great Job Anet
I stopped counting at 94. It has to be getting close to 150. I do it as a fast way to get corns, which I then turn in for personalized bags.
My highest streak is 17 in a row – fell through the rubble after the first platform that you wait at on the 18th -_-. I’ve done 12 in a row before and lesser streaks many times.
Here’s a perfect run where I loot all 4 chests in one run – 3 on the way up and the one at the top. I haven’t seen another video of this.
