Did it two times withing 30 minutes of trying. :P

After about 12ish hours total I finally completed it on my Charr Mesmer. I still want to do it on my Norn Ranger.

Oh and I did it one handed! lol I’m a dedicated mouser. Nerve damage + right hand = long story…

Tip: no need to rush of the start cause it slows down afterwards

Finally finished it on all my alts at last plus another alt I made to keep someone company. Finished a total of 9 times, but it glitched once (made it but was warped back to entrance).

After you do it the few couple of times it becomes easier, but with my horrid lag I would often end up teleported back to the entrance or failing jumps I shouldn’t have failed. Can’t say I had fun, but I was happy to finally conquer the thing in spite of lag and slow reflexes/poor concentration.

Could only really do it after figuring out a strategy to rush 2/3 of the way in. Would never be able to get the 3 chests on the way – barely make 3rd chest platform jump every time.

Tried it 10 hours in overflow and did always have at least 5 big (charr/norn) char by me. It did cost a lot of time. Than I could move to my server and ended being SOLO there. I still needed 1 hour, till I got it right. 30 minutes in it a charr did join me and 45 in it a human. But than I finally did understand the trick how to jump into the tower (jump as soon as you see the clock the second time).

Than it was easy. I’m wondering if Arenanet will post how man % of the player really reach the top, because if I can do this, than everybody can do it – I’m a bad jumper.

Beat it. Took about 30mins. Thought it was impossible with all the chars around. One was even called Clocktower Troll…

Anyway, once you learn the beginning and get past a few jumps 80% of people fail by then and you can start to see where your going.

I got it in about 20 or so tries? I wasn’t counting but it took me under an hour, that much I know. My brand new 80 thief opening chest.

Mad minus points to ANet for having everyone start at the same time, all the charr and crap made it impossible to see my character.. I thought it was pretty low and the most frustrating thing, but got it anyways because I’m a pro the puzzle itself wasn’t that hard.

Edit: Not sure how you all had speed boosts, since all skills are disabled I didn’t bother trying to equip my 25% increase, how cheap it would have been 10x easier.

Trait boosts stayed, and you could use speed boosters/candy corn in there.

After seven hours of jumping with the lowest graphical settings AND shrinking the screen to the size of an iPhone (just to get 30 FPS). Got it at 4:30 AM.

Beat it on my norn thief after 2 hours of trying. I had the 25% speedboost sigil though I’m not sure whether that actually works inside the Clocktower?

Then logged onto my human mesmer, no speedbosts, and beat it on my first attempt.

Finished twice, then stopped because I realized I couldn’t salvage the runes from the slippers

Honestly the tower is hardest at the beginning and gets easier the further in you are. Took me a solid few hours the first time, figuring out the drop and the clock face on my own because I hate spoilers :P

I finally beat it. Took me about an hour and a half, but finally got it.

P.S. Do passive speed boosts actually work? I noticed all weapons and utilities are locked while doing the puzzle.

Human Warrior 34, no relevant passives. Beat it once then quit in relief.

It took me around 3 hours to finally get it right but it was an amazing time. I really enjoyed it thoroughly. However I’m the kind of person who loves challenge and thinks games these days hold your hand too much already.

Kudos to you Mr. Foreman – Great work on this JP.

They really should’ve given everyone a local personal instance of the tower (kinda like story line instances) . The wait time took longer than doing the actual thing. Took me 2.5h to beat it sigh.

I loved the tower, but think the part in the beginning where everyone clumps up should have been redone. The debris blocks characters and messes with the camera too much when all those players are overlapping each other. Other than that, it was incredible.

Edit: No speed boosts on any of them.

Right in time before the end, i did it. I spent 3 days for it.
When arrived, a pathetic idiot ( who probably spent all day for it) even wrote me “you hack” just because i was at the end before him waiting the tower opening. I just linked him my signet of the locust “I’m faster”. Some people just cannot shush haha

Took under an hour. I like climbing and jumping on things in all games ever, so I suppose that helps. Once you get past the beginning part reliably, it gets much easier.

Plus everyone else is usually dead.

After I finished it with my main (Asura Elementalist), I completed it twice more.

Sylvari Ranger, no speed buffs – only 2 tries to finish!
Asura Thief, no speed buffs – 20 tries to finish

All my characters are the smallest models possible.

I was able to complete it after a lot (LOT) of attempts.

I thought it was the best part of the Halloween event I hope the Devs aren’t discouraged by some of the feedback from those that didn’t enjoy it and avoid making difficult content like this in the future. Not everyone is going to enjoy every thing.

I’ve since completed it on Asura Engineer and Charr Warrior (the charr was tough because of their different run/jump animation)

It’s so maddening. It’s perfect for the Mad King.

It was a challenge, but a fun one.
It took countless attempts but in the
end I enjoyed it, when I finally reached the top.

The only thing that was a little annoying what the fact
that most of the time I had to guess where my Warrior was.

It took me about 3 1/2 hours about half of which was failing the last jump due to being out of sync with the server.

I really enjoyed the challenge, after awhile I just kind of tuned out and let the rhythm of the puzzle get me to the end.

Human Mesmer, 80, no speed boosts.

I cannot count the number of attempts but it was to the point where I feel I could have done the first half of it blind folded. A youtube video helped a bit for the later parts and success was eventually achieved.

Charr thief, and no trait speed boosts..

Finished after about 6 hours or so. It was painful.

It was fun, but I found the start of the puzzle pretty annoying. Like, after the pause area, as well as some other spots.

Also, a lot of people were complaining (medium size charr 2scary4them) and others were demanding me to take off my clothes! D:

Edit: just worth mentioning how many times I wanted to give up on it, and after I finished it, I don’t think I’m gonna do something like THAT again. At least not during busy uni days, which is pretty much everyday till exams now :c

There is a glitch/bug/exploit or whatever where you can ramain at the top of the tower and then proceed down the tower when it restarts to meet and greet fellow puzzlers
