I completely agree with this.

When ever there is an event in a game, I always want at least a unique skin as a “souvenir” that I can earn with or without spending real money(gems in this case). This skin should not be hard to get but at least require a descent amount of effort during the event unlike getting a legendary or something like that.

EDIT : There is still a chance you will get any cool item/skin from future acts, so people still have to be patience about it.

And as commentors to the Reddit post point out – the scavenger hunt gives you a transmutable backpack skin.

You do get the mad king back thing that is rather unique, no?

You do have free things you can get. You can get the devil horns for free, and so far there’s that book that you can equip (though I feel there’s more to that book in the next acts).

you dont do it for stats, you do it for a cool book that you wear on your back..

There are “souvenir” skins, I.E. demon horns, the book from the scavenger hunt, and I’m sure there will be more to come, but obviously those aren’t good enough for you? now we’re just getting down to semantics…

True but isn’t it ridiculous if you have to transmute them to a level 80 item? They should at least make it a skin instead otherwise it will force people to spend on gem again to buy a fine TS.

Will you use the book for your level 80 character? I don’t because it has lame stats. The devil horn is a town clothe so you can’t wear it during combat.

Look at those skins from the chest, they can be transmute WITHOUT the use of TS. They should at least give us skins instead of giving out something that we can barely use during playing the game.

Honestly to look at all these threads QQing that they aren’t getting anything unique it makes me think, have these people actually DONE anything event wise other then opening chests?

The event isn’t even over yet, there are still THREE acts left, and I’m betting there will probably be some nice unique skins to come, and if not THEN you can whine about it. patience is a virtue, don’t count your eggs before they hatch.

Transmute it with stones then. Not like that is so hard or expensive… and if you really got an issue with it, add a proper constructive criticism post to the suggestion board or something.

It is a Halloween event, and as far as I can understand about Halloween (living here in EU) its is all about tacky plastic “horror” stuff anyways (edit: also candy). Just roll with it and enjoy it while it lasts.

Besides, who knows what the other acts may give us?

Yes true. That’s why I said earlier in the post that I can’t tell what kind of item you will get during the event.

Until then people will see the chest as the issue….

Lets hope Anet give us some “cool” item/skin later on so people can stop QQing about this issue.

Lame book with low stats? You said you wanted a unique skin as a souvenir. That’s exactly what you go. Plus the free devil horns. Who cares about the stats?

Stats dont matter in this game. You can get a set of all the best stuff for a few gold.
