So I read a thread on Reddit about special locations you can scan for trick or treat bags. I went to check them out but it seems all of the locations no longer give any bags. Is anyone else experiencing this? (The locations you can interact with show up but when I interact with them nothing happens)

Also I read that these can only be done every 4 hours or so and I tried one of them again but it did not spawn the interact locations this time so it’s registering that I did it just not giving anything.

Yes, I too am wondering this….
Did they just add a long timer to it?
Did they remove the Personal Trick or Treat bags permanently?

They worked for me this morning, but that was before the latest patch. I can’t say for certain whether the patch disabled them, or perhaps they changed it so the spots are usable once. Have you tried these spots before, or on another character?

EDIT after Alyssa’s post: Aww, really? I guess I got the ones in Lion’s Arch just in time then.

The latest hotfix just removed the Personal ToT bags from Suspicious Locations in Lion’s Arch. This is mostly due to people farming great quantities of ToT bags by switching overflow servers and relogging in Lion’s Arch. This was not an intended method for players to get more ToT bags.

All the other ToT bag locatons in Kryta are working. The exploit mentioned previously only worked in Lion’s Arch, so luckily we have still have 21 ToT bags per character per day.

I guess Anet really don’t want us to have fun.

And the exploiters ruin it for everyone else. As usual.

@BowmasterSol: 21? I count 16. 2 spots in Queensdale(8 bags), 1 in Kessex(4 bags) and 1 in Gendarran(4 bags). The other 4 spots only spawn creatures, which don’t guarantee a drop. Or am I missing more spots?
