When all 6 pieces are combined you get the effect of:
“Summon ravens to attack nearby enemies when you activate an elite skill.”

QUESTION:

Will this effect ONLY work on the Mad King armor, or is it interchangeable w/ any armor that can carry 6 runes in combination?

Example: If I were to put 6 of those runes into another full set of armor, would it work or would it have to be specifically “Mad King armor”?

It works just like any other Rune. The Mad King Armor isn’t even unique, it’s just renamed crafted armor with mad king runes.

Well, I do love the stats as it’s specifically bent towards Necro, but I’m still less than lvl 60 so I haven’t created any exotic yet. Shoulkittenep his armor and just transmute over them or craft different exotic armor and transmute over them, keeping the Mad King runes on them?

To those who plan to obtain these runes, a fair warning; it doesn’t actually spawn ravens, it’s just the hawkes similar to that ranger skill. It’s quite disappointing really.

would be nice to see crows or bats instead of “ravens”.

I want to like the stats, but a good necro works on conditions OR power. Having a little of both is a waste sadly….too bad as I would love to have a set of THE MAD KING!

Also the final ability is more for fun than useful.

Ravens are pretty much large crows, it doesn’t even spawn that, I would describe it as a hawk or a pigeon.
