So i bought some of the weapons from the merchant in LA thinking that the 4 hour timer was until the skins are no longer available…Apparently thats just how long they last in your inventory and you cant transmute them so they are completely worthless and I’m out my money/corn. Awesome….

You can craft them permanently. However, they cost 200g+ to make. Ridiculous grind.

I know Arenanet developed this game and that NCSoft published it, but making event skins temporary was probably NCSoft’s idea. If you ever played Aion, especially in the last year, most of their event skins were temporary. They usually last anywhere from one day to seven days, then you’re back to your old skins again. Kind of a bummer..

The temporary weapons are cheap, and you even have the option of not paying gold for them.

If you just want some seasonal flavor, these are the weapons to use.

If you want a permanent weapon, you have to work for it.

People seem to think that because they said you don’t have to grind in GW2 that there is no grind in it. Nobody ever said this. You can get all the stats you need on exotics quite easily (no grind needed), but if you want totally optional aesthetics that’s where the grind comes in.
