I would like to thank everyone at ArenaNet for this great Halloween event it looks like you guys put A LOT of time and effort into making this happen and it shows, everything is absolutely stunning. I have finished the three achievements we can do so far and now waiting for the rest to come out. I have even made a new Necromancer to get into the Halloween spirit and farm Candy Corns on the way to 80 and having a blast doing it.

I feel so bad how much negativity there is on these forums and just wanted you guys to know there are people here who appreciate everything you have done to make this happen for us the players.

The cities look great. I love the work they’ve put into redecorating the place. Other than that….

There is a TON that could have been improved. Even basic stuff like actually pointing people in the right direction of where to go (no, googling for the locations on the books is not pointing people in the right direction). And the fact that I can not do the event on a low level character, since it requires me to go to higher level zones in order to complete the event.

I expected fun mini-games (other than the costume brawl, which is kind of neat for a short while) and not having to farm Candy corn or having to buy keys in the gem store in order to actually get any reward from the event.

As you can tell, I’m very dissapointed with the event. So much that I actually can not be bothered to log on at the moment. It really bums me out that I’m not able to complete the event, just because I’m not a high level player. And there are almost no rewards whatsoever if you don’t spend actual money on gems and buy keys….

It’s already better than GW1’s Halloween and only part 1. Love it.

I’m sorry, but yes you can do the scavenger hunt on a lower level and all the other achievements. I started the scavenger hunt on a fresh Necromancer at level 5 and ended up being level 7 by the time I got the last part of the book, with no help at all may I add, Sylvari with no way points or map uncovered. All the NPC’s have a Halloween item above there heads you just need to explore and look around.

And you found it fun to have to go through level 30 zones in order to complete the event?

I already said there are good things about the event. However, you can not stop me from saying that there are also negative sides to the event, and stuff that they could have done better.

I found getting to the last two pages a bit of a challenge, I died about three times getting there but it was a fun challenge. You have way points you can use as a relay so it was not bad, if there was no way points there may be some justification to your statement.

But please I want to keep MY topic free from any form of whining, this is not the place for it. Did you not read my post scriptum? Go make your own topic if you want to voice your complaints, stop posting here please.

Agree. Kudos to Anet for doing a great job with the Halloween theme, and new events. The new content was great!

The complainers need a mindset change from typical MMOs – we need to realize that all this content came for free, and nobody asked anyone to spend any money. You can have as much fun, without spending any money. All items are available for gems that could be bought with in-game gold.

Look forward to the remaining three Acts…

Compared to the other MMO that shall not be named, GW2’s Halloween event is better and more engaging! I personally like the scavenger hunt, and I would love ANet to do something like this after this event.
