Not being sarcastic. Thank you so much Anet for giving us a fun challenge. It took me 2 hours and a half of getting angry and maniacally laughing at the stupid mistakes i was making but it was a fun experience and a memorable one at that. And i really appreciate that you guys didn’t nerf it or make it easier in any way…unlike some other mmo that turns everything easy mode anytime a few people cry it’s too hard. Cheers and hope to see more of these in the future.

I really enjoyed the challenge too, although I wasn’t able to finish it (I was still in there trying when the new build came up!)

I do think a lot of the grievances people feel about the CT could have been resolved by making the actual run (not the lobby) instance so that people weren’t getting constantly blocked by Charr/big Norns. I have to say that a huge majority of my early (pre-cog) falls as well as my slowness was attributable to not being able to see the next landing spot.

I liked the social aspect of celebrating for other people/comiserating in the lobby, so hopefully there is some middle ground. (The other option is just making other player models transparent during the run.)

The difficulty of the tower was fun.

Trying to see what was going on through 3-4 giant charr was not.

The only thing that makes GW2 difficult is the camera.

Nah, plenty of people managed to do it with player models blocking their view, just added to the difficulty.

It took me a very long time, but I refused to give up. Later when I went to bed that night, I kid you not, I had repeat dreams of falling off in stupid spots ALL NIGHT.

I still wouldn’t change a thing. The fact that I was able to beat it reminds me that I might be older than most of you, but I’m still spry enough to pwn that freaking tower, with a tiny Asura, and a rickity old mouse with low DPI. So theres that.

I agree that the size of the characters was a bit of a problem , but eventually i got used to where the jump where and did it with my asura. Plus after the first few jumps there usually were like 3-4 people left out of 10-30 doing it.

Spent over 7 hours trying to do it. Sorry but people with a life can’t spend the 20+ hours some people reported trying it. It is supposed to be a fun event and that was without a doubt the least fun I have ever had in any Anet event.

Clocktower is designed according to the Mad King’s requirements for player torturing and suffering. This puzzle is the best part of all Halloween event and it’s difficult is appropriate. None other puzzle in the game gave me similar sense of achievement.
