The Price for Candy Corn
I think enough people will still want the skins to keep it going, maybe not spike again, but at least keep it selling afterward until the supply drops.
right now there’s endless supply. Once it stops dropping, supply will constantly diminsh with no replenish so it will go back up. How much is the question, will it be in demand for those hallowing crafted stuff. Not sure
All IMO of course
Omnomberry ghosts will be super great for crit builds with an UNPRECEDENTED 66% chance of life steal, combined with a life steal sigil, warriors and especially thieves can have guardian level heals on a successful dagger storm/hundred blades series of hits. That requires candy corn glaze and will probably be the most sought after buff for glass cannon WvWers and magic find farmers.
It’s a very common material… the supply has to be out of this world… I mean… it’s the only material in the entire game that is literally everywhere.
but as others stated, price will go up over time after the event… how quickly tho, is hard to tell.
Crafting one of the Halloween exotics is 2000 candy corn excluding the amount you need to create the recipe. Keep that in mind.

The omnomberry ghosts are a slightly cheaper version of omnomberry pies. So no, they are not unprecedented.
I dunno, I think the demand will be pretty low after the event. I mean the chance of people wanting to finish weapons and such will exist, but aside from the skins all the recipes are pretty much equal or worthless outside of the holiday. The armor runes are pretty good, but they don’t require much corn.
That said, candy corn is so easy to get right now that I would think that anyone that wants corn for later will stock up now. And if people happen to want corn later, the stingy ones would probably wait till next year.
Who’s selling these things though? Even if there’s nothing you want to use them for, wouldn’t real players be holding on to them until the end of the event, just in case? They say more’s coming.. do a lot of players just not know that?
With what we know about the current uses for candy corn, I don’t think the price will go up for a long while. However, there will most likely be additional uses for it in upcoming Acts. Depending on how much candy corn we will need for these, the price might actually just stabilize anywhere between 4-10c.
Farm what you can now and sell them in a few months. The price for them will rise again.
Inspiration is only as good as it’s interpreter
They’ll continue to go down. The intended price per candy corn is 4c, as shown by the NPC in LA selling temporary weapon skins for either 150 candy corn or 6s.
6s = 600c.
600c / 150 candy corn = 4c / candy corn

I sold hundreds of them for over 50c each near the beginning of the event. Why would I hold onto them when I can use a fifth of the money I made then to buy back the same amount now?

From what I understand, the candy corns are used to complete the monthly achievement, to trade in for trick-or-treat bags and to craft Halloween items. They’re far from useless, I think the price just dropped because you need so many of them. Farming them in WvW is really easy and fun though.

I think people looking to make a quick buck are taking advantage of people that are either too lazy or don’t have enough time to farm for candy corn.
“Only in death does duty end.”
Replace “taking advantage of” with “filling market demand.”
I don’t have any use for the candy corn, so I’ve been selling it immediately. I have no faith there will be a market once the holiday ends. And “taking advantage of” is a very rude way of putting it, unless the people who sold me my armor took advantage of my desire to upgrade without praying for drops.
I’m stockpiling candy like mad. The food you can make is good.
Why worry? It is so easy to make money in this game, it is not even funny..
Personally, I could care less about the skins, this event etc (just not my thing). So I am making a ton of gold selling all the stuff.
My daughter plays and loves this stuff, so she is using the drops, buying stuff (that I don’t give her) etc and doing fine.
In the end we both have a ton of gold and we are pretty casual players (mostly weekend players)..
Just play and/or buy what you want.
I burn all the CC into custom ToT bags. So far have made some gold selling recipes, but not endless tonic yet.
I don’t really care about the weapons either.
The Spicy Pumpkin Cookies will still sell post event. Same stats as Cup of Lotus Fries, but with a 45min timer instead of 30.
As I have no interest in, or level of crafting for, the candy corn recipes I am using this as an opportunity to do the legwork for other folks and sell this new “asset” on the TP. I went out first thing and harvested my little picks out, lol and started marketing them ASAP while the prices and demand would still be high. Made a decent little nest egg for myself. Now that the prices have dropped, I’ll just hoard them in my bank until either the selling price rises again or I decide to use them myself down the road or even next year. The sweetness of the candy corn was had by the glitter of the gold I made from it.
LOL we all knew it would go down. The wep vendor is 6silver or 150 candy. So, that is a price of 4c each. They are pretty useless, there’s more acts to come so maybe they will be used in something decent.
