Okay, so it’s already been said that craftable Mystery Tonics are workable in the new Mad King Chest recipe.

Considering the fact that these tonics are account bound, thus non-tradable, how is this fair to people that chose fields other than Artificer to level up? Essentially you’re creating an unfair advantage for people that leveled it up.

Is there any possible way we could also patch in a way to use 6 of other professions’ craftable item of equal value?

Either that, or make the craftable ones unusuable …

The mystery tonics I craft do not work in MF, not sure if players are just saying they work to troll others.

Well, until other professions can start crafting the boosts, this really isn’t much of an issue.

I mean, it gives an advantage to people who bought Black Lion Chests before they made the Mystic Potion change (they’d have more boosts than Mystic Potions to cover them), but, all in all, ANET’s still making cash off these people ’cause they have to either buy boosts, or buy the Black Lion Keys anyway.

The whole reason for Anet to put them in the chests is so people will gamble to get them and spend lots of gems to do it.

With a B2P model + cash shop that’s how they get their additional revenue. If you want the skins open chests or make mad king chests. Otherwise quit whining. They’re not going to just put all the skins on the cash shop because that would kill their in game value and rarity.

I just crafted a few. You can’t throw them in the mystic forge. So caaaaaaaalm down

They still need boosts which they can only get from BLCs or a few story mode quests. Ever heard of the phrase “Don’t look a gift horse in the mouth?” No matter what ANet does people will keep whining. The whiners are the only bad part of this event.

Huh, my bad. I looked up the wrong recipe. I used the right one and, yes, they can be used in the forge. I guess fangs and claws are getting more expensive now^^

There’s no weapon skins in the store.

Actually there is a “weapon” skin in the store (toy pirate sword), its just not a normal weapon’s skin.

Also, what is the recipe to craft the tonics, and how do you get the recipe to do it?

Then in that case, I’d like to reinstate my complaint.

I have a level 400 Artificier and last time I checked, I couldn’t crafted the Boosters that you can buy from the Gem Store; so I don’t think it’s a very significant advantage.

Also I can only use the Mystery Tonics that come in the round bottle (“smells like singed fur/feathers”) instead of the cheaper ones in the square (“smells like a forest”) and thin bottles (“smells like furniture polish”), and I’m not sure how I feel about burning more T6 materials than I should to make the round bottle version, since I’m saving those for my Legendary.

I attached the images of the Mystery Tonic that CAN be used in the Mystic Forge.

In the scheme of things, leveling up Artificer is not terribly expensive, and could be done within an hour. It’s a one time expense, and then you can craft tonics for upcoming festivals as well. Why not just level it up?

There is no other time when artificers hold any advantage whatsoever. It’s one of the worst crafts. Let us have something.

Problem: The tonics are all “Account Bound” … meaning that you wouldn’t be able to satisfy your customer’s demands.

I would know— I tried to monetize on that idea as well. Fortunately, I noticed that before I inadvertently scammed someone.

oops didn’t see that thanks. Still I wouldn’t waste T6 mats on tonics

Please make tonics mailable while the event is going on, i have boosters but i don’t have tonics and i can’t craft them because I’m not an artificer. This is just frustrating.
