Guild Wars 2

I just wanted to say that I spent the whole Halloween event farming for those skins, and haven’t received one.
I farmed keys and got nothing.
I farmed MK during phase 3 and got nothing.

This event was so unrewarding… I have never played a game that trolled its playerbase so hard before.

I went to the Gw2 Halloween event and all I got was a Silly hat! But seriously, I feel for you. I did the same thing and got nothing.

They didn’t troll the userbase… they gave you lots of content to enjoy. Skins and such are supposed to be spice, not meat.

Its frustrating. I would have rather done a 24 hour long dungeon for a drop then the repetitive farming I did. This is such bullkitten. People who got lucky are more entitled to a item skin than I am?

Without spice, the meat is bland and not worth enjoying. I don’t play GW2 to live, but to savor.

Quick tip… if in event you hear the drops are rare.. .buy your gems you were gonna buy… exchange for money…. buy the skin outright… Why do people think the only place you can get it is from opening chests yourself? Maybe I don’t understand it… but that’s what I would do if I was aiming to get a rare item

Items that you’ve should have gotten:

1) Book 1 backpack

2) Book 2 Complete Edition backpack

3) Witch hat

4) Exotic Mad King Slippers (*if you completed Clocktower jumping puzzle)

Now, those are guaranteed items that have nothing to do with the random drop rate for the other things. Also, even if you did not get the Halloween Exotic weapons, you could have/should have farmed the materials to start up crafting them (seeing as how they are craftable).

This is by far the most fun, and rewarding, holiday event I’ve been in compared to any other MMORPG out there.

Might I add, book 2 is a dam nice looking back item too.

Cynical, you seem cynical about the Halloween event. It’s like you knew what you were getting into when you chose the name, but then act like your surprised that your unsatisfied with something.

I thought Halloween in GW2 was great, I had a ton of fun in the clock tower, I got a few rare skins, I got the endless tonic and bought all of the costumes/minis available on the Gem store. I hope all events have items just as rare as this one did.

i made seriously 10g+ off this event from selling the the candy corn and bags during the first day. Selling the halloween mats the few days following. And i got a good amount of rares and exotics from the lab chest and mobs. Im as happy as can be with this event, plus the halloween items for sPvP makes up for the fact that im NOT going to spend a ton of time farming a halloween skin since im aiming for a legendary.

Slippers, Book (both upgrades), hat, and a legendary staff plan to start working towards. I think that’s a pretty good haul. Would have been nice to get some pieces of the set but oh well- next year!
