Good morning!

I have not logged on in a couple of months and my main is currently sitting in the 30ish – 40ish range. I’m actually getting ready to log on right now to remind myself.

This Halloween event has peaked my interest quite a bit and I’d like to see what is going on, in particular the event in Lion’s Arch today. It seems to have generated quite a buzz on the internet and it’s something I don’t want to miss.

My question is, as a non-80 what can I participate in and do with the Halloween event?? Is there a quest that starts somewhere to begin Act I of the event? Thank you!

Anything in the Mad King Realm as you get upscaled to 80 (just have to be careful because your armour doesn’t) as well as the complete scavenger hunt (Act I and Act II). I only lvl 42 and have yet to come across something Halloween related I haven’t been able to finish. (The last part of the scavenger hunt was a little difficult. Just have to wait a bit for higher lvl’ed people to clear out the room and just follow them in at that point).

Honestly i would go for the second book.

Some people say it is hard and all , but the only bothersome part is to get the pages without the WPs, even on the lvl 60 area.

I’m currently lvl 31 and I’ve been able to do everything as far as I know. Of course, the scavenger hunt is a bit tricky since it’s mostly in higher lvl zones but there are usually a few higher lvl players doing them and helping you out in the process.

People like myself are also making sure that if we see a lowbie dead or dying we will get them up or out of trouble. I’ve also seen people asking for carries and getting them regularly so the community will help if you ask.

My character that I decided to do the Act 1 and Act 2 quests with was level 32 when I started and level 34 when done…. that’s how much xp I got from going to areas for the book quests I had not managed to get to yet.

Act 1 wasn’t bad at all, I was actually over level for that one (over level in the sense that the highest mobs I encountered were level 34 and I was level 32. Most all npc mobs were below my level in the environment.)

Act 2 is geared for a much higher level. It is not easy to make it as a level 30 something to finish Act 2, but it can be done. Your character will die numerous times and it requires you to try many different ways to get from one place to another to get the pages…. especially if you as a Player have not taken a character through these zones yet… one zone in particular can be tricky to navigate.

I was also very thankful and privileged to be running Act 2 at the same times as many other Players who’s characters were much higher levels… they cleared many, many mobs, rezzed me quite a few times, and without them I would not have been able to complete it. I am grateful for their assistance.

Try to do the Act 2 quest during busy populated times for your server. It helps tremendously. I personally wish to thank all Players that are helping out the lower levels trying to complete these quests.

I was able to do everything on characters as low as level 12.

The forays into higher tier maps was a bit daunting at first, but learning to avoid and skirt past enemies was actually quite a bit of fun. The other players were quite helpful and supportive of my efforts as well. I did find myself taking quite a few dirt-naps along the way but at low level repairs are cheap and someone helpful with a rez was never too far off or too long of a wait.

(I repaid my dues to the community at large by playing on my 80s to assist escorting low levels through the tough spots as well)

I got the 2nd Book on my lvl 15 necromancer with the help of some random revivals from others.
