Ponytails! They are nowhere to be found!
I hope they will be included in a future patch, along with a hairstylist, so we can change our hair! (Possible gem-sink, ArenaNet! Wink wink, money money!)

I definitely agree! There is a nice variety of hairstyles for the female humans right now but that is one place where they’re lacking. I do really like the front of the side ponytail hairstyle near the end of the choices. It has some nice bangs in front and longer bangs on the sides and overall it looks great. I just am not a huge fan of the side ponytail. Give me that “front” with a few different back ponytail options – a long high one, a long low one, maybe a short one. Also maybe one of those back ponytails with a side part, no bangs look. I think I know too much about ponytails lol. Just some suggestions, though.

Edit: Also while I would prefer a hairstylist NPC in game that lets me spend gold or karma to change my look, I’m also not opposed to buying gems to do it, either if I have to. :P

It’s just a matter of time before ArenaNet adds the ability to buy an appearance change in the gem store so don’t worry

The idea of adding a stylist or any appearance change NPC for a gem sink is brilliant, or even if it’s just buying the hairstyle from the gem store and then being able to apply it to any of your characters through an item. I vote ponytail and a wider variety of curly hair, particularly long curly hair, due to the absence of these quite common RL hairstyles. Especially for male characters.

If a barber shop doesn’t get added or something like that, I’d imagine that more could be introduced within another expansion. cough Cantha cough

Human males need more emo hair.

Give them the emo hair male assassin’s had in GW1! The one that goes over his left eye and diagonally down the cheek. IT WAS AWESOME!

If anything, they need less ‘emo hair’. More realistic hairstyles would be greatly appreciated, including ponytails and curly hair as others have said.

The charr males get a braid at the front, human males should get a ponytail at the back. Gives contrast to the races.

I wouldn’t mind if they made Norn/Human hair interchangeable … the Norn females had some cool options that would be perfect for what I have in mind for my human characters.

I’m for this, my friend ended up not remaking her human ranger she had reserved the name of from GW1 because the humans had nothing close to the epic ponytail she was sporting in GW1.

Yes, more ponytails would nice. The Norn seem to have many different styles of ponytails, yet Humans have none? What’s up with that?

Though I’d prefer ponytails to have bangs, and not be pulled back on the forehead.. But I’ll take what I can get.

I am a man with a ponytail, and I support this post! Fortunately for me, though, I was able to find a human hairstyle that looks pretty much like my hair when it’s not in a pony tail, so I wasn’t too miffed. But I digress, ponytails . . . everypony wants the option!

You would think it’s the most simple of hairstyles – pull it back, tie it off. Instead we have that fancy vertical clip one that pulls back the side to hold the rear.

I want hair like Geralt (Witcher, Witcher 2) or Duncan (Dragon Age Origins). Simple but kitten.

The hairstyles are certainly hurting, I can list quite a few games where I’d constantly switch styles through the in game barbershop. Right now this is looking to be RIFT where I pick one or two styles out of all the races begrudgingly and never change.

As much as I love rocking a side pony, an actual ponytail would be awesome. Even if it was just an alteration to the side ponytail, because that one has really nice bangs!

Indeed, I would love my little ponytail along with other ways of having hair tied back, as none of the characters even the female ones with long hair have it tied back as far as I know. And yes realistic hairstyles would be nice as the ones in GW1 were too emo.

I wish they’ll add new options like this one from Nightfall. The NF female ranger also has a really nice ponytail option…
