What kind of a battlecry is a high pitched squeak?

Whenever I’m using a Greatsword and just swinging it around with the #1 skill, half the time my character gives out a really high pitched squeak. Is it supposed to be a grunt or something for swinging around such a huge weapon, because it sounds more like a screeching cat or a bird of some sort. The other half the time the character at least sounds human, but that noise is starting to weird me out a bit.

Bumping this because it’s relevant to my human female guardian and mesmer. Sometimes they sound normal when fighting, then all of a sudden high pitched HNNK sounds.

Sometimes I wish arenanet gave us optional style of voices to use as well, not just in combat but in general areas (not storyline, would be too much to re-record), for example, the default voices for male and female could be considered “smug” (I achieve things; I’m an achiever!), give us options like “peacelover”, “aggressive”, “smart”, etc.

I second giving us more voice options. Last night I created a male thief, I chose the street rat option and made him look kind of malicious and street-smart… Then I get to the story sequences and he has the same dignified, goody-two-shoes voice of my warrior with noble parents, really felt like a very out of character voice to the point that I’m considering remaking him, a shame because this is the first time I really play with the sliders in character creation and REALLY liked how he turned out.

More voice options would be rather expensive, both in data files and money for recording/implementing them.

I’m pretty happy we get voices in the first place. You have no idea how silly Kitten Trek Online’s curscenes are.

If you can read this then it is proof that ArenaNet’s moderators just, kind and fair.
