As the title suggests I’m trying to make some blood elf looking armor on either a male or female toon, prefer female in heavy or light. I know to stick with red and gold obviously for dye choices.

I saw some cool pics online before but I can’t find them anymore. Any ideas? Armor names would be amazing.

Sin’dorei, eh

This is going back a long time, since I never played World of Warcraft and thus I’m going all the way back to Frozen Throne here.

However, for heavy armour, I’d probably be inclined to look at Draconic. as a starting point, or maybe Honour of the Waves armour (which comes up as various ‘of Koda’ names in the wardrobe). Both have that ‘martial spellcaster’ look a la Spellbreakers. Elven headgear tended to have wing motifs, so combine with an Avenger’s (human cultural tier 2) or Council Guard (Caudecus’ Manor) helm and you’ll probably have a pretty good starting point.

For light armour… it kind of depends on whether you’re still looking for the armoured look, or whether you really want cloth in Blood Elven styles. Acolyte’s can probably fit for either, although it’s fairly drab, depending on dyes, and if you want a more armoured look you’ll want to replace the boots for something that looks more convincingly like greaves, such as Flame Legion, Masquerade, or Path of Koda. For males, Masquerade makes a good ‘battle robes’ set, but it’s quite Stripperiffic for females. For females, the Koda set might be a better option – however, while it does have a ‘battle caster’ look, its decorations aren’t as elf-esque as the other two. If you’re looking for something more like caster robes, though, there are a variety of options – you’ll have to look through them for yourself and decide what fits. For a female, though – maybe try Aurora (aka exotic karma armour) or if you’re willing to spend gems Phoenix as a starting point?

Light headgear will probably have to be best of a bad lot, though – it’s mostly masks, hoods, circlets, and bits of stuck-on ornamentation. You’d probably go for a circlet out of those. Unfortunately, I don’t think you can use just a single piece from an outfit, otherwise the Pirate Captain’kitten might be a good addition.

Bottom line, though, is that your best bet is probably to check things out yourself through the wardrobe tab at the bank and the preview function (which lets you preview skins you haven’t unlocked) with your existing armour dyed in the right colours (you might find in previewing that it’ll work better if you switch a couple of colours, but that should be reasonably obvious as you work through it). For a somewhat less clumsy way of cycling through them, the wiki currently has most of the sets available – a good spot to start is http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Light_armor (edit: or, even better, something like http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Human_female_light_armor)

Hope this at least gives you a starting point!

To those who think Scarlet hate means she’s succeeded as a villain:
People don’t hate Scarlet like Game of Thrones fans hate Joffrey.
They hate her the way Star Wars fans hate Jar Jar Binks.

The Primeval chestpiece might look pretty close to Sin’dorei armor.

Valiant Aislinn – Aveneo Lightbringer – Shalene Amuriel – Dread Cathulu
Fojja – Vyxxi – Nymmra – Mymmra – Champion of Dwayna .. and more
