Human Cultural Heavy Armor
So I heard about these things called transmutation stones…It’s also not like you have to use cultural armor. And besides Power, Precision, Cond Dmg actually sounds pretty nice for a Sword or Longbow warrior who has lots of potent degen conditions.
Ok, but what if I wanted to play a Warrior tank or any other combination, I believe that the potential bonus for all the races should be equal as to not encourage one race above the other…
Each race has a different set of attributes on their armor. It could be more of a specific racial thing and what they represent. Norn are rather hearty, so having toughness and vitality seem appropriate to me. Charr have power, critical damage and precision, which also seems normal since they attack hard, fast and precisely. Part of me thinks the cultural armor is more for looks and to use transmutation stones over armor that has more preferable stats then something you wear exclusively at level 80. It might be good to start with, or have as an extra set.
The stats for cultural armor can be found here if they have a significant impact on your game play: http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Cultural_armor
I’m guessing because the design is that of the guardian armor at char select, they wanted the stats to match something a guardian would wear (burning guardian at any rate).
That being said, transmute stones make this a non issue. The vast majority of people buying cultural (or any karma) armor will be doing so simply for the appearance to morph onto their crafted/otherwise armor.
What I’m more curious about is the amount of gold they actually cost when they are of rare quality and not exotic.
You’d most likely have a full exotic set before even being able to actually buy a single piece of the cultural armor.
Fair enough you can buy it and then use it for transmutation purposes, but wouldn’t it be better to actually have the items being a transmutation item instead then o.O?
Transmutation stones don’t exactly make this a non-issue. You cannot buy the cultural armor of other races (you can’t even see it on their vendor). You would have to find armor as world drops or from dungeons with the stats you want to transmute.
I guess I am lucky in that I find the human cultural armor just horrible. I look around and see the Seraph armor and just wish they had offered us as one of the tiers their armor.
I can’t see me buying any of the human cultural armor for my warrior. Imo just horrible stuff.
Compare the tier 1 human heavy armor with the tier 1 charr heavy armor.
The charr blows the human stuff out of the water.

blame the guys that abused rare quality stuff in the mystic forge, they ruined it for everyone
pow+pre+cdamage sounds great to me, lol.
lol for the arugument of the warrior i love the fact that if i chose a huge charcater he has more power toughness and vit… thats how it show be people the littler guys are gunna be more agile and have there own stats if ur goin to pick a huma dont complain realize its like a real life situation u must over come the size factor and play to his strengths this makes the game great and it makes it nice to be a human and come up with the win bottom line sorry dont mean to poke and hit feelings but think about it for real

This is good advice, as a dual sword warrior can do well and be alot of fun.
