Humans are Aliens
Humans are aliens, sylvari are podpeople, charr are savage beastmen, asura are gremlins, norn are giants. I’m loving this fantasy world where races like skritt and hyleck are as “normal” as we get.
Technically, everyone’s aliens if you go far enough back.
We really don’t know have the confirmed origin of that many species in tyria.
personally i belive that this is a human myth, just like with the myth that the gods created the world of tyria, there are so many pieces of contradicting information on the origin/homelands of humans
The kingdom of Kryta was originally a colony of Elona, established in 300 AE,
The current earliest known records of Elona is in 205 BE, when humans arrived along the southern shores and northern valleys of the continent
The oldest records of Canthan activities date back to 786 BE, when humanity first arrived along the northern shores of the continent.
one of the devs said that humans came from south of cantha…
seeing how the elonians came from the south AND the north…. im confused, are there 2 sets of humans, one from the mists and one from south of cantha? why did elona have the colony in kryta and not orr? wouldnt orr have been the nearest other human settlement?

Call it a mix of bad writing and loose end’s.
9/3/13 rip
Call it intentionally vague writing to make humans interesting characters in general. Human myths and stories say a lot of things, and many of them have proven to be true.
Loose ends can be built upon. Any good writer leaves themselves a little leeway to invent new scenarios and plots.
