Deaths Fear [Fear] / The Hardcore Caravan [HC]
Forum Warrior: Black Belt in Ninja Edits
When I first played GW2 I noticed a strange mutation has afflicted some of our fellow human brothers and sisters causing them to manifest strange feline/rodent/plant-like characteristics. We are already aware of the problem of gigantism. Is there hope that they will be cured?

TOPIC: What possible new race can make you shed away your humanity? I really like the Mursaat. I’ll happily trade my human for one.
Mursaat or Skritt.
Or baby Quaggan Pirate.
Skritt? For real?! I hate them the most probably. :/ Definitely beneath them chickens.
What what what whaaat. You are insane, Skritt are awesome.
WTB Skritt please Anet thank you.

None of them.
Honestly, the Largos might get me interested, but I’d probably play it just as much as my human.
wehat is a largos?
Largos and Tengu fr certain have my interest, but never as a replacement for my human.

Weird stingray-elf assassin people from the deep ocean with big glowing wings/fins. There are maybe half a dozen of them in game right now, spread between story appearances, a daily event, and I think one or two zone contacts. They’ve been having the same sort of problems the Krait & Quaggans have had with minions of the Deep Sea Dragon, but haven’t all fled inland yet.
I’ve got characters of all races, and plans for at least one Tengu if they ever arrive. Ideally, they’d give one more race, and 4 more classes (2 Soldiers, 1 Adventurer, 1 Scholar) so I can have one character of each race/gender. BUT, if they ever added additional voices, so I could have a 2nd Human Male without him sounding like my 1st Human Male for example, probably at least half those other races would fall of my playing roster.

I have a Human, Norn, Asura, Charr and Sylvari. I love them all. <3 I eagerly await the opportunity to add a Tengu, Skritt and Naga to my family.
Why is everyone so keen on skritts? Ugh I can’t stand looking on a rat’s tail all day when playing GW2 as a skritt *barfs
Naga and Largos is where it’s at! I also wouldn’t mind if they implemented a ‘race’ that gets wings when it casts skills (ala Paragon of GW1)

Hey, if we can tolerate looking at a Charr’s tail all day, Skritt won’t be any different.
And skritt are just adorable little scamps! “Point for me!”
Mursaat or Skritt.
Or baby Quaggan Pirate.
Quaggans a Pirate! Yaaaaaaaaaar!
All it took for me was Sylvari… dat dance… however this may change depending on how awesome my human mesmer turns out…
Largos would be nice. I’m not a fan of Tengus and I have mixed feelings about the Mursaat. They are interesting but my memories of them aren’t too pleasant. I did that one mission with the Seer way too many times -.-
The skritt are cute, but I can’t imagine a skritt talking ‘normally’. And having to listen to skritt-talk in every video? No, thank you. The same with Quaggan.
Shed away humanity?? Noooo way. An RPG game is not really fun without a human race in it, I think.
Probably this is crazy, but why don’t they make Risens or Ghosts? Sounds evil and weird, I know, but probably this is fun and fresh….
:D
Have you ever carried that injured or dead (can’t remember) Skritt in one of the instances? It’s like a burned to a crisp rat thing.. bah..
I want to be the dragon, then at least I could fly and see if that moon up there is really round..
Am I the only one that wants to play a hylek?
Am I the only one that wants to play a hylek?
Only frog warrior I will accept is Frog. Nobody else. XD
Tengu are where it’s at for me. Honorable, efficient, cool-looking. I can’t wait to see what’s in their secretive homeland west of LA.
The kodan have a neat culture, but I just don’t see them as adventurers.
The skritt are fun and adventurous, (and have cities), but I don’t think they can use magic. I certainly can’t picture a skritt joining the Priory or having important dialogues with Trahearne!
If there’s enough of them. Their intelligence increases with the number of Scritt together in a city, or hive or whatever it’s called.

Wow really? I don’t pay much attention to their story since I find them revolting.. Hmm that’s really interesting to know.

Unfortunately that’s also why it’s very unlikely Skritt will ever be a playable race. You can’t really account for something like that when it’s a player controlling them, unless it’s something purely cosmetic like a Skritt PC’s voice emotes changing depending on whether or not there’s other Skritt in the vicinity.
Normally I never main humans. Buut Tyria is different.
Guild Wars have IMHO the most interesting human race of every multiracial fantasy universe. Probably the main reason for that is all the lore already developed during an entire game with only humans as protagonists.
Humans normally are the young and still learning race that have the potential to replace the powerful but dying races. This time is the other way around, Humans were the favorite of the gods from the moment they were brought to the world, they have a lot of history and many different cultures across the world, and now they’re decimated, losing most of their kingdoms. One could say humans are the elves of Tyria :P
About which race would really interest me (but my main will still be my human), probably the Largos. They’re very interesting and enigmatic, and look like mutated Dark Elves (my fav. fantasy race, for appareance, armor looks and the way their society is usually represented). They seem to have a very stablished society based on Houses, which would allow for Biography Questions (which is your house) and an evil group (evil rebel House) like the Flame Legion is the evil legion. It’s all set for them to become playable at some point.
If ANet decides to put Tengu as a playable race… I CALL DIBS ON THE NAME HARVEY BIRDMAN!!
^ better reserve it now that the cat is out of the bag.
I’d love to play a Kodan, but as an original GW veteran, I have made nothing but humans. With the expansion, I would like to make a Female Norn with whatever new soldier class they give us. Their Tier 3 armor is just too good on a female.
I want the tengu to become playable. Largos? Sure.
What made me shine away from humanity is our resemblance to norns.
Don’t see much love for Centaurs :C
Centaurs are evil. I can’t imagine them being thieves O_o
Mursaat are a no for me. They’re just… eh… I’d much prefer Tengus. I say we just kill any and all Mursaat, should any of them be hanging around still. As for Largos… I just don’t like them much either. I dunno WHY but they just make my left butt cheek twitch.
Skritt or Tengu. But I already have one of every race.
hands down the Kodan are the best
Centaurs. I mean they made those jerk Charr playable by retconning in a lot of lore, and Elonian centaurs (from Zhed’s tribe anyway) at least have a plausible grounding in sort-of-friendliness. I’ve always really liked the GW goat/horse/human hybrid aesthetic of tyrian centaurs, and the NPC ones currently in the game look great.
I’d like to put together a GW2 version of my “chainsaw” centaur barbarian from shadowbane one day. They’d need race specific pants and boots though, as the really couldn’t just tweak the existing models to fit that physiology, so it would be a lot of work. Alternately you could just give them a racial vendor that sells transmutes that work like the HoM ones to transmute all the mundane sets and just do the new art for the “shiny” sets like dungeons and exotics. It also rasies some interesting animation question. What’s the centaur animation for death blossom? I mean they couldn’t really pull off a full on midair spinflip, no matter how hilarious it would be to watch.

Definitely Tengu, and possibly Kodan.
Gods the second Tengu become playable I’m playing one.
When they talk, they have the same type of “voice enrichment” as the charr.
Instead of the charr like slobbering, its the clattering of their beak.
Ahaha, Tengu. They’re just a bunch of lame chicken.
Kodans are the true race we need.
I’d make another warrior if they make Tengu as a playable race. I imagine my Tengu warrior doing hundred blades.
