Your human char's name
i named my human warrior Jax Baratheon
Jax is the champion from League of Legends which is a weapons master
Baratheon is the surname of the Great House of Baratheon with the Stag as its sigil on the Game Of Thrones series.
Chose the bulkiest tallest and bulkiest body type.
Isaac Caliday, guardian
Originally went with something more ‘fantasy-like’ for the first name (by which I mean I mashed on my keys randomly until the letters arranged themselves in a way I liked), but eventually switched to ‘Isaac’ as it fits Tyria’s lore better. Not sure where Caliday came from, but most likely has a similar origin to his old first name.
Both characters have names which honor my GW1 characters.
Carth Blair, Guardian, a descendant of the original Carth from GW1 through various generations. The original was a warrior but I always tried to play him in a supportive measure.
Dancing Joker, Thief, not a blood related descendant of the original. The original Dancing Joker was my Assassin in GW1 thanks to Factions. His name originally came from a character in a Battletech novel who killed people and assumed multiple identities.
I decided to write up mine as a cloak and dagger version of the Dread Pirate Roberts.
So for my GW2 version he was picked up by some guild long ago as a child, they taught him everything he knew and was awarded the title of Dancing Joker. Since Cantha has gone silent they don’t know if that nation still has one or not. So for now he’s representing for Tyria and will eventually either claim Cantha once more or kill off the ‘pretender’.
“Rocks” is my last name for all MMO’s that provide a last name field.
Koreal Holimion
Human (Female) Mesmer
When I started GW2, the mesmer’s teleportation abilities made me very excited. I had a D&D character named Than’rael Holimion who was a teleportation specialist and used it for EVERYTHING. I originally made Thanrael and quickly realized that the mechanics of the mesmer were awesome, but didn’t fit the character’s personality. So before I even hit level 10, I scrapped him and made Koreal (one of his two sisters). She shared her brother’s love of teleportation but was a bit more outgoing and aggressive. Still, I never go anywhere without blink and portal equipped.
Koreal is one of three triplet sisters. Two of my friends agreed to play her sisters (who share the same look but with different hair colors). Coreal and Cereal. We have a blast in PVP and WvW because it looks like there are 12 of us.
My main character’s name is Maedhros, as I am a huge fan of Tolkien lore and he’s my favourite character all over his books! (And every other book )
O°v°O
Thokir Deathbolt, human thief which is lighning themed, aiming for bolt
Mine is Catilyn Fire, Female – Human Race.
I choose it as it was my Runescape name, and I kinda like it.
Necro:
Saligia Data
“SALIGIA” is a mnemonic based on the first letters in Latin of the seven deadly sins: superbia, avaritia, luxuria, invidia, gula, ira, acedia.
why ressurecting months old thread when there is one that is still alive?

Black Raven Knight, warrior in dark human t3
Ratletrap Clockwerk, engineer
Enigma.7384 You do realize that Alistair is a defender from Dargon Age, right? And yes he’s a human noble.
Yes… I do realize that Alistair is a character from Dragon Age. That doesn’t discount the fact that the name is of Greek origins and means “Protector” I hadn’t played Dragon Age: Origins before creating my GW2 character (shocker) so I had no idea who Alistair was at that point. As for the background, I changed that from “Noble” to “Commoner” after I decided I liked the intial background story. I feel it fits better.
My human’s name is Hansi “the Blind”. He’s a Guardian. heh… get it…? Blind (Guardian). God I’m unoriginal.
