So now that Deadeye’s trick doesn’t exist, is there any way to get this achievement? I was a few hours too slow, so I didn’t get to pull it off when everyone else got the achievement. I don’t care about farming at all. I just want the achievement.

There was a trick to do this?

I did it with my mesmer on Subject 7.

There was a special way people were getting it very easily before today’s patch. The change to Deadeye wasn’t mentioned in the notes but the trick doesn’t work anymore. I just wish I had done it once before they changed it.

I think there are a multitude of ways (classes/builds) to gain this achievement on Subject 7.

I personally did it with a minion master Necromancer without any issue.

The Subject 7 nerf only reduced the amount of coin he dropped in each bag to counter the farming that was going on, the mechanics have not changed in any way so he can still be used to gain the achievement as before.

Can still do it as a zerk guardian with sword/focus, choosing crowd favorite over the squeamish gambit (personal choice tbh).

For it to be easier, you must go to one of the areans that spawn the quaggan further away from deadaye – just so you can use the 2nd sword skill on deadaye and have the quaggan attack you from behind to avoid you attacking him by mistake with some aoe etc..

I don’t have a minion master or a zerk guardian but I desperately want the achievement (which I missed by hours with the patch change, I had already watched the vid and knew how it was goinna go down!)

Right now I have a Zerk Mesmer, Zerk Thief, Zerk and Soldier’s Warrior (full set of both, not a mix) and Soldier’s Guardian all at 80. I can also buy gear for any of the four other professions (also leveled) if I have to, but is it possible with any of the existing geared up characters?

I did it with the healing bombs build in another thread (can’t remember which) on an engineer, with Subject 7 (I think it was post nerf to him, even though all that nerf was was a decrease in the rewards).

Did it today with zerker guardian against Deadeye, took squeamish and didn’t pick crowd favorite. Took me tens of tries though.

If you have guardian, you want to use GS and Sword/Focus. GS3 = blind, GS5 = pull, Sword2 = teleport, Focus4 = blind. Judge Intervention for another teleport, Bane Signet for dps + another pull, Renewed Focus to survive an otherwise unavoidable killshot.

If you have a thief, it should be easier with that.

It’s still very easy to do vs Subject 7 with a warrior.

I do have a thief in full exotic zerker at lvl 80. Haven’t seen any builds or guides for that though.

Please tell the kittening hell to me HOW TO prevent subject 7 from healing. I know there is something that triggers his healing (his healing is random, one time he heals like madness and other times is crappy heal). Tell me how to control it. There’s nowhere on the internet details about his heal behavior. If i could just have more info, so i could bring up a counter strategy. Now he just outheals me. Doesn’t matter if i do something amazing to survive/Damage at the same time, he eventually outheals/outdamages me.

He heals whenever one of the little goopes shoots a flame thru him. At least that’s what I heard anyways.
