A random thought about the Gauntlet
GW2, the HFT sim.
I think making them even more difficult would make certain encounters impossible for certain classes. A couple of them are already really close calls between a few classes/builds. Having challenging content give a special ‘Gift of xxx’ though would be cool, as long as it isn’t temporary. Otherwise you won’t be able to get said legendary at all for a year because you may have been on vacation, in the hospital.. or had no time for any other reason.
That is valid. Since I am dreaming here, it may be fun if there were profession specific bosses to get a legendary something for your profession. I highly doubt that Anet is going to put in that many hours to develop 8 near impossible bosses, though.
Hmmm…..I don’t know, I think Liandri is honestly at a good level of difficulty and as someone said further increasing the difficulty does run the risk of causing problems for other classes.
That being said, I DO like the idea of profession specific bosses on the level of Liardi.
Well, all classes can take liandri down so surely they could add another 5-6 tiers without a problem.
I think if they add anything that is supposed to be “extremely” hard they should give everyone the same health and abilities for it (vehicle fight!), otherwise it’s going to be a bring-this-class-and-spec-or-gtfo deal.

I am not sure what you mean. You want it to require luck? Because Liadri takes no luck at all. There is nothing random about the fight.
I remember back in the precursor rage days when people were like “award us precursors for true displays of skill, like soloing Lupi!”
Yeaaaa good luck with that. Skill gates content much more severely than luck or time (especially when luck/time is interchangeable for most things in this game.)

Vortexs are random, liadri clones are random ( i had 6 clones yesterday, o.O).
Why not let the winners do a 1-1 with other winners. With random gambits active to make it interesting.
