I just started GW2 a couple weeks ago and currently have a 72 Guardian. Is it worth trying out the gauntlet if I am not lvl 80? I know it levels me up, but I don’t have any useful gear, etc. ankitten ot a very good player yet, so I am thinking I probably won’t down the first guy.

Thoughts?

Well, you got the Tickets stuck to you like glue, if you feel like testing the waters go for it.
Just be prepared to pay the price of death if you can’t manage.

You still have two weeks until the gauntlet is over.

With that being said, it is possible to do some of them with an underleveled toon. Subject 7 would probably be where you can’t advance any more because of his healing capabilities.

I would give it a go the tier 1 opponents are fairly easy and 3 out of 4 of tier 2 are not too bad either.

If you can dodge/kite have stability and can do the dps you should be okay…

Have you considered crafting just to get your final 8 levels, would only take half an hour or less? If you have loads of karma or badges of honour, you can just enter WvW and buy all level 80 rare gear (with karma) or exotics with badges of honour/small amounts of gold.

You might get farther than you think. You only have time and repair costs to lose really (assuming you’re just going to use the tickets you’ve been accumulating), and winning a fight will get you a bag worth about 11s. No harm in messing about with it a little to see for yourself.
